When my answering machine responds, the message is a series of eight electronic beeps. After their call leaves the beeps on my answering machine, they call back three times in a row. This series of phone calls occurs at all times of the day, from early morning before I have awakened, and it repeats throughout the day. This began the weekend of June 4 - 5, and it continues today, June 6. We have tried to block calls from the number our phone's caller ID shows, but the calls continue to come from a different SERGEMD telephone number. This company should be censured and fined for this harassing practice.Desired SettlementCease and desist attempting to contact me. I request a fine of $1000 be paid to me for each incidence of these harassing phone calls.Business Response This was a simple miss-dial from our fax machine. Someone entered in our customer's number wrong, and as fax machines do, it kept trying to connect.Mr. [redacted] called our office, and when we were alerted to the issue we fixed it.We apologize for any inconvenience.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I know what the "handshaking" tones from a fax machine sound like. The series of eight beeps spaced one second apart were not from a fax machine. Furthermore, if a fax machine doesn't succeed in obtaining an appropriate response from another fax machine, it doesn't repeat the attempt from a different telephone number. Subsequent calls from a fax machine would have come from the same telephone number. This response from SERGE MD was spurious.My call to their office and the contact from Revdex.com seem to have stopped these annoying calls. I will pursue this matter further if I receive any more calls from SERGE MD.
