***,First, I would like to apologize for taking so long to reply I dropped the ball; I thought there was a place to respond on Revdex.com and was waiting for a response from them Then I just got buried in paperwork. Carlton took the time to write in detail the work performed
so I'm going to respond by interpreting his response to you.The boat came to PWM for minor repairs; Paul found that the motor had not been winterized which would normally cause the engine block and manifold to crack from freezing We both agree that Paul communicated the cost of $(hours labor @ 125/hour) to pull the engine to check for cracks. Fortunately, the core and freeze plugs were pushed out and saved the motorfrom freezing. There seems to be some confusion with the additional charges The additional labor charged to put the engine back in the boat is (4 hours) not 750.00; if you look at the work order line the labor charges are We feel that a better explanation of work performed would have eliminated some confusion between us Notes on the work orderindicate that Paul contacted you on at 11:45am and explained that additional work was required Our records imply that he received authorization for additional charges of $ Paul was able to find the old freeze plug and expand it and reinstall in the manifold In order to check the engine pressure, he had to set up on portable engine station and run to operation temperature; checked for leaks To remove and re-install engine it is necessary to remove the back seat, engine sun pad and side panels After he reinstalled the engine, he had to launch the boat and run to check for water in the oil I hope this provides you with a better understanding for the time involved to diagnose and repair your boat. The additional labor charged on this ticket was for work the initial repairs requested: de-winterization, oil change, depth finder repair, cushion repair.I have attached the final work order for your review along with a scanned copy of dates and times Paul spoke with you authorizing the repairs. If you still are not satisfied, please feel free to contact Carlton or Doug to discuss
