“Bay Lakes Builders’ construction manager [redacted] called the homeowner [redacted] on October and discovered a contradiction from the original complaint filed with Revdex.com which is very likely the cause of the out of square/out of plumb door frame condition Mr [redacted] indicated to Mr [redacted] that the homeowners, not the builder, were the ones to apply the expanding spray foam insulation between the wood stud framing and the door jamb/frame Being that insulating the garage walls was not within the scope of the building contract, adding spray foam around the garage service door would also not have been within the scope of the building contract Mr [redacted] cautioned that adding too much of the expanding spray foam can cause the door jamb/frame to flex which will create an out of square or out of plumb condition Mr [redacted] indicated during the phone conversation that he did since scrape out the expanding spray foam insulation but that the door frame may have been irreparably flexed to a point where it will not flex back to its original form Mr [redacted] did further offer to have one of the Builder’s siding installers come back to the home to see if any mechanical adjustments could be made to the door frame to put it back in square/plumb and/or assist with the installation of the owner’s storm door Mr [redacted] agreed and the installer has been contacted by Mr [redacted] to go there on the next inclement weather day or otherwise between his other contract work.” Thank you for your time and consideration If you have further concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our officeSincerely, [redacted] General ContractorDirector, Secretary & Showcase Chair BCHBABay Lakes Builders & DevelopmentSWebster AveGreen Bay, WI 54301Direct ext301Mobile 920.371.2956WI 1.800.492.3666Fax Door County OfficePark Place VillasFish Creek, WI

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response.  If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]
Revdex.com:There seems to be either a misunderstanding or a miscommunication regarding the foam application between the wood stud framing and jamb on the garage service door.  We did apply any foam.  The foam was applied by the builder.  Other than that we are hopefully going to have the out of plumb door finally fixed.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,
[redacted]

“Bay Lakes Builders’ construction manager [redacted] called the homeowner [redacted] on October 11 and discovered a contradiction from the original complaint filed with Revdex.com which is very likely the cause of the out of square/out of plumb door frame condition.  Mr. [redacted] indicated to Mr. [redacted] that the homeowners, not the builder, were the ones to apply the expanding spray foam insulation between the wood stud framing and the door jamb/frame.  Being that insulating the garage walls was not within the scope of the building contract, adding spray foam around the garage service door would also not have been within the scope of the building contract.  Mr. [redacted] cautioned that adding too much of the expanding spray foam can cause the door jamb/frame to flex which will create an out of square or out of plumb condition.  Mr. [redacted] indicated during the phone conversation that he did since scrape out the expanding spray foam insulation but that the door frame may have been irreparably flexed to a point where it will not flex back to its original form.  Mr. [redacted] did further offer to have one of the Builder’s siding installers come back to the home to see if any mechanical adjustments could be made to the door frame to put it  back in square/plumb and/or assist with the installation of the owner’s storm door.  Mr. [redacted] agreed and the installer has been contacted by Mr. [redacted] to go there on the next inclement weather day or otherwise between his other contract work.” Thank you for your time and consideration.  If you have further concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our office. Sincerely, [redacted]
