? Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I completely disagree with Joanie's Catering responses as follows:1.? Joanie and her crew were irresponsibly late on a most important day of our daughter's and son-in-law's life, their wedding day.? My wife, ***, states that Joanie was at least hours late2.? There were not plenty of food.? In fact, there were shortage of appetizers and crackers, and food was late.3.? Her staffs were indeed rude and unprofessional when approached with questions and inquiries related to the late and chaotic reception by our family members and guests.3.? My wife and I DID NOT hug Joanie congratulating her at the end of reception.? This is ludicrous.? We were furious that evening but did not vent our anger and displeasure due to wedding guests' presence.? Joanie must be confusing our total disaster reception catering with some other reception4.? Joanie sent us a meager $refund which is preposterous.? We were hoping that with passage of time our hurt, sense of betrayal, and loss of large some of money will gradually ease and subside.? However, it has been opposite, realizing the complete failure by Joanie's Caterubg in delivering the service and product promised and paid? for.? Even today, many family members and friends mention how beautiful our daughter's wedding was, except for the reception food and service.? This is embarrassing and brings nightmare whenever reception conversation comes up.? This is the reason for our report to Revdex.com at one year anniversary of the reception.5.? Businesses exist to provide goods and services per contractual agreement, and size of the business, small or large, should not matter.? Joanie's Catering completely failed for our daughter's wedding reception.? If Joanie feels that what she provided that evening was excellent, as she states, I am aghast and feel very sorry for her future customers.6.? This complaint is completely false. I have attached copies of the preliminary menu proposal, which had the vegan stuffed dumpling squash and salmon, then the revised 3/menu, (with chicken and pasta) agreed upon for this wedding, to reduce costs to fit their budget.We specifically made
the vegan gluten free Tempeh meatballs at their request, to go with the gluten free pasta *** was busy with school through months of the exchanges until under month before the weddingI personally spoke with her on the phone regarding all of the dietary restrictions and specifications I have email documentation of all correspondence with ***, the other bride and ***If needed I can contact the Parks Department staff who were working this event as witnesses.
There was a dedicated bartender, and when she found one of the guests had gotten behind the bar before people were supposed to be back inside (while she was helping set up the seating tables for the room turn) the bartender got back behind the bar and told the woman that we were not open yet and we could get in trouble for her being back there. The guests were taken care of by the bartender and told why they had to wait a few more minutes - the ones that were waiting near the bar said they understood and it was totally fine.through months of the exchanges until under month before the weddingI personally spoke with her on the phone regarding all of the dietary restrictions and specifications
There was a server (and a 2nd one for part of the time) tray passing appetizers to all of the guests, until a little before we were getting ready to open the buffet. I was there, filling the trays with the hors d'oeuvres as they came out of the oven and I personally went out in the reception room during the cocktail hour, to make sure the brides got hors d'oeuvres, but ***’s mom told me they were having a private momenton the beach, so we didn't follow them out there. At every event where the tray passed appetizers are not being taken by guests anymore from the server, we typically set out a tray or two at the bar, which is what we did. We fulfilled our contract with this couple and I know that the guests were taken care of properly. On March 31st WE sent an email TO JOANIE asking questions about the price differences if we changed the crab cake appetizers to mozzarella skewers, changed the salmon to chicken and added tempeh to the vegan dish (not changing it)We NEVER HEARD BACKIf our email was to be taken as some kind of agreement or instruction then there would not have been crab cakes but there were, there would have been mozzarella skewers and there were not and the Vegan dish would not have changed except to have added tempehThere was rarely a bartended, we have guests who can attest to how many times they got their own drinks through the whole night because no one was there.And where were the staff handing out appetizers? Guests had to pass them outThe catering company was late, rude, disrespectful and clearly non-communicative before the eventShe will not be able to prove that we received the "new menu" or that we agreed on it because it was never sent and never agreed onHaving pasta at a wedding is unacceptable and not what we agreed onWe did not pursue the questions we had asked about price differences because my father-in-law felt that we could work with the original budgetWe never mentioned the option of pasta, she never mentioned the option of pasta, the only menu ever agreed on was the originalYes, questions were asked but that does not constitute a decision or agreement and again, if that email was followed then we still wouldn't have had pasta.Sincerely,*** ***

This is absolutely CRAZY! I corresponded with *** (the other bride) for months and between myself, her and *** had emailsWe served the revised menu that *** booked us forI spoke to *** several times on the phone and both of them more during the last month before the weddingI discussed the gluten free items with *** on the phoneThe statements about our staff are just completely falseI have the documentation regarding the requested and revised mau and will contact the Parks Department to speak to the staff that was on-site during that entire event, who can attest to what I stated previously regarding on-site mattersThe only reason we arrived later (3:PM) was because *** told us we could not get in before then, when *** and I had talked about my time-line having us arrive at 2:When I got there the Parks Department staff told me that we could have gotten into the building at 2:and there was no reason *** should have told us 3:
