Review: I am getting constant SPAM from this company. I have emailed them asking for them to stop but they keep sending SPAM. SPAM is illegal.
In 2003 the Can-Spam act was signed in the United States. This was an 80 page document which defined exactly what spam was and went as far as making spam illegal. The Can-Spam act laid out a number of consequences for anyone found guilty of sending spam emails. This can even get you in prison in some cases. The act allows up to $11,000 in fines per email sent which should go a long way to stop the problem.Desired Settlement: I am getting constant SPAM from this company. Review: I sent in a cancellation request about October **. It was acknowledged by their live support, and I was told my credit card was removed from recurring billing. On October [redacted] and November [redacted], I was charged. In that week, I contacted their support again, and I was hung up on. I was told to send multiple e-mails, and I complied. I was not responded to via any form of communication they told me to use. I was then AGAIN charged on November [redacted], and December [redacted]. This time I contacted them again, explained the issue, and the live support AGAIN told me that a month ago I had cancelled it, but I needed to "confirm" the cancellation in a non-existing email they did not send me. I just called my credit card company, and filed a dispute.
Now, their lawyers have sent me an invoice for those two months, plus another month, when I've clearly made multiple attempts to cancel their service, and I called my credit card company to manually remove my card from their billing system and revoke their authorization to bill me again. I'm effectively being harassed continuously for something I clearly requested a cancellation on over two weeks before the end of term.5Desired Settlement: I want an apology, and to be left alone. I should not be charged for anything past the first cancellation request I made.
