In reference to this complaint, all levels & tests of the modem are normal.  We have tried to contact the customer. When you call the phone number listed on the complaint ###-###-####, it states that "I talk on the phone all day, I don't want to talk to you, text...

me. " We texted her on 1/20/16 @ 11:25 AM.    We also tried to contact her @ ###-###-####, that mailbox was full & we could not leave a message.  If you need any other information, please feel free to contact me.Thank You,

I am rejecting this response because:
I was told I was gonna receive a credit and there were no stipulation on it. Now Joan is saying that the bill has to be paid in full before the credit is applied. Which makes no sense,  because if I pay the balance in full then where is the credit goungw, the account is closed. And about the equipment,  that been was turned in and nothing was ever said about the equipment in the original complaint. I will not pay this bill until the $36 I was promised is "credited". I have moved so it doesn't matter. I was paying the bill in good faith. I'm not losing anything.

In regard to the complaint of 10/23/14, my response was not a refund but a credit on the account when the equipment is returned and the balance is paid in full.  The equipment has been returned but the balance remains.  We have issued a credit of $27.00 for the disputed amount in September. Once the balance is paid in full, it will be removed from collection.  We do not issue refunds on a balance that is not paid & it was never stated that she would be receiving a refund, please review your records.

I have been having issues with my services the past few months. My modem likes to random restart daily at night and in the morning and I was told I have a good connection and better than most people and I should deal with it. The after hours support can do nothing for me which is PenTele Data and Service Electrics staff is rude and insulting. Will be glad when I can move out of my apartment and away from their service. If you are going to have boundary contacts to screw customers, at least offer good service.

Review: I wrote to Service Electric June 16th and said "I am writing because I live in [redacted] and I have called numerous times regarding the cable box in the back yard being open and the wires sticking out. The first time I told someone was back when I had phone service and they were hooking it up, they acknowledged what I said but it was not fixed. I continuously duct taped the box because there are always kids in the play ground where it is located and they pull it open and my service is constanly choppy or off and on. The second time, when I called because of my horrible service, they sent men out who closed up and sealed the boxes. Apparenltly, they did not check the wires because though the kids were not able to open the boxes, the service did not improve and was quite laggy. I called on Tuesday evening because my internet was off and then on, off and on, and was told someone would call me to come see why. The person came on Wednesday and said they would have to have other people come redo the wires for the 4 and 5 block because they were not working right and that someone would call me to make another appointment. Nobody has called since and the box has been laying open in the playground with all the wires exposed, still broken. I have a picture because as this seems like it is not going to help my service, it also concerns me as a safety issue. I understand my bill is past due and I will be paying it on 6/24, but I am hoping to at least get some kind of credit towards it since I have had several complaints with no resolution. Thank you."

I then wrote June 19th and said "I wrote Sunday night about the choppy internet service and safety issues caused by the cable box in the back yard of my apartment complex. I saw guys out there fixing it Monday morning. I am pleased that it is fixed. However, this does not change the fact that I have had months of issues and made numerous attempts trying to get someone to fix them before it was done. Multiple people listened to my problem but either did nothing, or closed up the box without checking the wires, leaving them defective. I hope to get a credit towards my bill or I'm going to contact the Revdex.com to see what they think. I believe a consumer should get what they pay for."

I no longer have the picture as I did a factory reset on my phone and forgot about it but all my neighbors are witnesses to the horrible and unsafe condition these boxes were in. I am not the only one who complained.Desired Settlement: I would like my bill credited before I pay it towards the end of the month. I am upset that I have been paying 55.00 a month for choppy service and that no credit has been offered to me. I have spent so much time duct taping those boxes only to have them come in to check something and leave them wide open with wires sticking out before my complaints finally got them sealed up.

Review: Very poor internet service. Repair guy came to my house acknowledge bad signals of internet but company and management refused to fix the problem. There comment was this is the service take it or leave it.

Never recommend Service electric. Need more competition in the area. Service electric is the only cable provider in the area. Very poor costumer service. Basically acknowledge the problem but doesn't want to fix it . Need to better serve the communityDesired Settlement: Need more competition in the area to better serve the community. Response:

On November 14, 2013 we sent our technicians out to address the problem. They improved the signal to satisfactory levels on the second floor. They also replaced the WIFI modem and explained to the customer the limitations of WIFI. We also issued a one month credit on the account.
