September 20, 2016Reference:  ID  [redacted]To Whom It May Concern:I am writing today to address the one and only complaint my company has ever received through the Revdex.com, or any other similar institution.  First, Service Friendly LLC has served the customer in question on four occasions since September 3, 2013.  In every service provided, the standard service rates of $40.00 for a service call, and $50.00 for labor has applied.  Therefore, when replacement parts are necessary, the cost would be in addition to these standard rates.  Which by the way are considerably less than that of my competitors.  Mr. [redacted] additionally has been in the service industry in his own profession and completely understands how the rates apply and would have been completely unrealistic for him to think the repair cost would have not exceeded $100.00 when he absolutely understood replacement parts were necessary to complete the service.Secondly, when we (my son, [redacted] is with me on each and every service call) arrived at his residence and entered his home, the entire dishwasher was disassembled.  I indicated to Mr. [redacted] at that time that I did not want to work on his dishwasher because the manner in which he disassembled the unit was not necessary, created considerable additional work on our end, and posed the possibility that he had damaged something in the process that I could not detect.  After Mr. [redacted] pleaded with us to make the assessment of his dishwasher, we agreed to work on it.  Thirdly, Mr. [redacted] left the residence before I could speak with him directly about the entire repair cost.  After determining the problem and looking up the cost of the parts needed to fix the unit, I told his wife the cost of parts would be $98.00 and this would be additional to the service call and labor fees.  She agreed to repair without consulting with Mr. [redacted].  A few days later when we returned to complete the repair, Mr. [redacted] was the only one present at the residence.  We completed the repair, tested the unit to insure function, and I wrote up the bill.  It was when I showed Mr. [redacted] the bill, he yelled, “That’s [redacted] you told my wife the cost would be less than $100.00!”  I was stunned!  My son was stunned!  I stood for a moment thinking on how to best handle his temperament.  I simply said, [redacted], you already know that our standard service rates are $40.00 for a service call and $50.00 for labor, how could you have possibly thought the entire cost would be less than $100.00 when we had two parts needed to complete the service?”  He yelled again, “This is [redacted]  I would’ve never put that much money into a dishwasher that old!”  It was then that I “offered” to remove the parts, and he could pay me the $90.00 for a service call and labor, and we would be right back to the scenario, which he was seeking.  He then yelled even louder, “You’re not taking any parts off that dishwasher, it’s illegal!!”  I was stunned!  Never in my career have I been treated with such hostility.  He then threw (2) 100-dollar bills at me.  He then said, “You two will never be back here again” which my son replied, “Sir, my dad didn’t even want to work on your dishwasher because you had the whole thing tore apart”, Mr. [redacted] replied, “Get the [redacted] out of my house!”… I can’t tell you the emotions going through me at the time, but I told my son to go to the van.  I gave Mr. [redacted] his change and his receipt and told him at that time, “You better never talk to me or my son that way ever again!”  Which he responded again, “Get the [redacted] out of my house!”  I then left his residence.Later, he called back indicating the unit was still not working.  I told my receptionist to tell him if he ever calls back again, we would consider it harassment.Everything I’ve indicated in this letter represents the complete truth, in it’s entirety on how this situation occurred.  If you have any further questions and/or comments regarding this issue please don’t hesitate to contact me directly.  Thank you!Best regards,Jeffrey V. E[redacted]Owner/ Senior Technician###-###-####P.S.  If you contact Mr. [redacted] today and ask him if his dishwasher is working, he’ll tell you that it is.  He didn’t know how to operate it, that’s why he couldn’t get it to work once we left.
