Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.First of all I would like to point out that the documents that were sent to me where not mine.  They are [redacted]'s documents.  Also, these documents contain information that should not be given out to other people, like social security numbers, birthday, address, phone numbers, and partial credit card information.  Now I am VERY worried about what they are  doing with my private information.  Is it getting out to people who could now be trying to steal my identity????
The next thing is that none of my original complaints where addressed in this letter. The response from Service my student loan addresses what the company does and did not me but does not address what I originally stated.  Here is my original complaint:
1) I have been trying to contact Service my student loans for over 3 weeks now by both email and phone. I have left numerous messages, been told the number is disconnected number, and sent emails to various people. I have not received any contact back and I am not able to get anyone on the phone to speak with. 2) I was told by 2 of your representatives that my interest rate would be 3.56% with a payment of $264 over 10 years. When I received my paperwork from fedloan it said that my interest rate would be 5.125 % with a payment of $156 over 20 years. I would have never agreed to do this had I been told the correct information that the interest closer to 5% than 3%. 3) I was never instructed that this is actually something that I could do on my own without having to pay. I was instructed to sign through an email that I received from your company. It was never explained to me what I was actually signing. Since I have a learning disability I need someone to verbally read what I am trying to read in order for me to understand it. 4)The person who referred me to service my student loans was supposed to receive a gift card for my referral and he has not received that. 5) I was led to believe something other than what there service is, what they provide, and what the actual outcome would be. 6) The phone numbers and address in the agreement do not work! The numbers are either disconnected or are other companies.
None of this was addressed. When I spoke with the Representative of Service my Student loan I was told one thing (see #2) but that is not what actually happened in the end.  When I tried to reach Service my student loan  to find out why and what was going on and why I was told one thing and another thing happened I could not reach anyone (see #6).
But like I already stated in this letter, It is absolutely wrong to give out other people's private information. I am absolutely applauded that this was sent out and I am questioning if my information was sent to someone else!
Regards,
[redacted]

Review: I had signed up to have my federal student loans refinanced and was told that my payment would drop to $240.00 a month based on a pay as you earn repayment plan. Upon further review after several months of my payment plan not being reduced to the $240.00 as I was told it would be by a lady named [redacted] who worked for this company I contacted my loan provider. After talking with my loan provider I was informed that I was not even eligible for the pay as you earn plan as [redacted] said and that my application was denied. [redacted] was clearly misleading in the information she provided and made it sound like I was guaranteed to the new monthly payment of $240.00. She was clearly either not trained properly or falsifying information. I also came to find out that this same lady was put on leave and now is no longer with the company which makes me assume she may have been put on leave for misleading customers about the service. She made it sound that they had the authorization to reduce my loan and that I was guaranteed the new payment of $240.00 when really all they are doing is filling out the paperwork and submitting to your provider and charging a closing cost of $599.00 in which case there is absolutely no reason to go through a third party vendor. I was never contacted by this company either informing me that my application had been denied leaving me to believe my new plan would eventually be starting. The only time I was contacted by [redacted] was to inform me that my second closing cost of $299.50 had gone through again leaving to believe my new payment plan was accepted. I was also told that they offered an incentive of $50.00 for new referrals. I referred my girlfriend to this company and she had her paperwork processed through an employee named [redacted]. Until this day I have not received an incentive of $50.00 in any way and she has not been able to get in contact with [redacted]. There is also a number listed to provide financial consultation 844-511-5626 which isn't even a valid phone number.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my the closing cost of $599.00 that I paid refunded to me since the information I received from [redacted] was completely misleading and this company offers no real proprietary solution in helping you refinance your loans. I would also like confirmation that I am not enrolled in any automatic with-drawling systems and that no more payments will be deducted from my account by this company. I would also like all my information cleared from this company's database.

Review: 1) I have been trying to contact Service my student loans for over 3 weeks now by both email and phone.

The numbers are either disconnected or are other companies.Desired Settlement: That I receive my $599 back for a service that was promised that was never delivered.

Re: Letter of Explanation-Complaint No. [redacted]Dear [redacted] and [redacted], 8/10/15This setter of explanation is a correspondence to your letter dated 8/3/15. For the record, please note that your letter was the 1" piece of communication which we have received regarding above complaint no. [redacted] to this date. This letter is to explain why complaint no. [redacted] filed is not legitimate per client agreement executed and proof of services rendered herewith.Enclosed with this letter are supporting documents for this case which are 1.) Copy of the executed client agreement and 2.) Copy of our CRM screen showing the historical details of the account. The details show that the service was successfully completed. Furthermore, let us provide you a quick summary/background on our services; as stated in our contracts and agreements.• Service My Student Loan was “A Document Preparation Agency helping cilents to simply prepare and package a Loan Consolidation Application and submit it to the Department of Education (DOE) for further evaluation, valldatlon, eligibility and approval by the DOE".• This was the scope of our services and we charged 2 payments of $299 for Application Preparation and submission. We never guarantee or make any such claims (as it is stated in our agreement). The final approval or eligibility is up to Department of Education (DOE) based on applicant's information.• The ultimate approval and eligibility process is by the Department of Education (DOE) after they have review the application and also verify Applicant's loan, income verification, etc.. If an applicant lied or provided wrong information in his application, the DOE would typically deny and contact the applicant directly.• We were NOT a data Verification Company nor can we ever GURANTEE the approval process by DEO.• We were simply a Document Preparation Agency and all the terms and conditions were spelled out for an applicant before they signed it.Per the executed agreement (see attached) in the recitals section the following 4 obligations of service were to be conducted: -A. Research potential Department of Education (DOE) programs that may be available to Student B. Present results to the student with available optionsC. Compile and process all Student's required DOE Consolidation paperwork selected from the options providedto Student, andD. Submit completed Consolidation paperwork to the DOE for further review and approval. In section 1 inrecitals there is a customer obligation listed that the client will provide truthful and accurate information.Section 4 Fees under recitals it is clearly stated that if the client obligation is not fulfilled wherein they provide allaccurate information then they are not eligible for a refund.o you can conclude, Service My Student Loan, in good faith provided the 4 obligations of a service to be performed mentioned above even though the client had not made final payment of $299. There were no errors in processing the clients account. A common occurrence we saw while the company Service My Student Loan was still operational was that applicants would provide inaccurate annual income data for their respective households. The DOE consolidation programs approval are heavily based on the amount of income and size of household. So, in summary, you can see that we rendered our services by preparing, packaging and submitting his application toDepartment of Education (DoE) for approval; according to our agreement. Once again the DOE would notify the applicants directly of their decision; so our agency would have way of knowing if Department of Education (DOE)approved or denied him; or for that matter the reasons for denial. We trust and hope that this Letter of Explanation along with a supporting document have satisfied your office regardingComplaint No. [redacted]. Please don to hesitate to contactus, should you have any further questions.Sincerely,Service My Student Loan Team[redacted]
