FILED ON BEHALF OF MY 71YO MOTHER WHO CONTACTED COMPANY FOR HOT WATER HEATER REPAIR AND HAS BEEN W/O HOT WATER FOR A MONTH D/T POOR REPAIR AND SERVICEI AM ANGRY AND SEEKING TO FILE COMPLAINT ON BEHALF OF MY 71YO MOTHER WHO HAS TRIED TO GET HELP AND DOES NOT WANT TO BOTHER MR.[redacted] THIS COMPANY WAS CONTACTED TO REPAIR AN OLDER HOT WATER HEATER. MY MOTHER WAS CHARGED 180$ TO REPLACE ELEMENTS. THE REPAIR DID NOT LAST A WEEK. INSTRUCTED MY MOTHER TO CALL COMPANY BACK AND OWNER WAS OUT OF TOWN.INSTRUCTED HER TO CALL AGAIN, SHE DID NOT WANT TO BOTHER HIM BEFORE APPROACHING ICE STORM SO SHE WAITED UNTIL AFTER STORM. MY HUSBAND CALLED MR. [redacted] AND HE PROMISED TO RETURN AND CHECK HEATER. HE KEPT HER WAITING ALL DAY, RETURNED AND SAID IT WAS BURNED OUT, DID NOT KNOW WHY AND PROMISED TO RETURN THE NEXT DAY. HE HAS NOT RETURNED OR CALLED. SHE MADE 2 ATTEMPTS TO CALL HIM AND WAS FORWARDED TO ANSWERING MACHINE.THIS COMPANY IS JUST BLOCKS FROM HER HOUSE BUT TOO FAR FOR HER TO GO WITH A WALKER.I AM OUT OF TOWN AND UNABLE TO RESOLVE THIS IN PERSON OR I WOULD DROP THIS WATER HEATER ON HIS DESK. I HAVE HAD TO PURCHASE A NEW HOT WATER HEATER AND PAY SOMEONE TO INSTALL IT. THIS IS SHODDY SERVICE AND TREATMENT. ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF TAKING ADVANTAGE OF A SENIOR CITIZEN ON A VERY FIXED INCOME.HE SHOULD BE ASHAMED!HOPE HE DOES NOT DO THIS TO ANYONE ELSE. I worked on this water heater for 3 hours cleaning out the sand and build up to help her not to cheat her because I knew she did not have the money to replace the heater. then after a few weeks it lost the bottom heat element. she did not call us back for like 2 weeks after it broke. First of all if we do not get a call that there is something wrong we can come back and repair the problem. So yes we went and found a bad element I advised the customer that I had o get one and would come back to do the repair and the next day I got the flu and was out of work for several days. so yes I did forget to go back after that but all they had to do is pickup the phone and call me I could have sent someone out besides myself to repair. I will be happy to refund $80 back to her and will take it myself and apologies for our mistake and her inconvenience. but by no means should we have to pay for a new water and will not. I do apologies for any inconvenience we may have caused.

My corning stovetop was broken during the repair of the stove burner during a service visit in April. I paid in full for the service visit.Upon finding the cracked top, I called [redacted] (repairman) and he visited and admitted breaking it. He ordered a replacement top and promised to replace the broken one. He has scheduled coming to replace the broken top at least 6 times and never comes and has yet to fix it. Every time I call, he says he is coming and never does. I even went to his store last Saturday and he showed me the top he ordered and said he would come that afternoon, but did not. He will now not answer his phone. This is an expensive stove top, a nice beach house, and it is ridiculous that the man will not just come and get this done. I have threatened legal action, I have threatened calling Revdex.com, I have even offered to PAY him a service fee to come and put in the replacement top---he still won't come!!! It is so frustrating to have this problem at a beach home so that it is just looming every time we come down here---it has now been 6 months. I would appreciate your advice on how to resolve this problem.Desired SettlementThe work needs to be completed!!!All I want is for [redacted] to come to our beach home at [redacted] NC and TAKE OUT THE GLASS STOVE TOP THAT HE BROKE AND PUT IN THE NEW ONE THAT HE ALREADY HAS IN HIS SHOP. HE NEEDS TO TAKE THE OLD BROKEN ONE AWAY. He has paid for the new top because he broke that old one.
