Our SSI tech, Tom, was very thorough in everything that he did during our service and installation work. He provided updates throughout the entire visit in terms of what he was doing and how long it would take to complete. Each area that he worked on was thoroughly cleaned at the end of the task. Outstanding experience across the board.

We have a service contract for plumbing and heating . Excellent response time to fix any problem. They are friendly and always explain cause of problem , fix, price and recommendations for the future.

Tom Terrell did an excellent job. Great technical experience, and worked very diligently and thoroughly to install a new water heater with all new copper piping.

I had a gas leak. I contacted Washington Gas who came out and turned off the gas. I went on-line to try to find plumbing company that could repair gas leaks. Service Specialties, Inc. came up as one of the top ten plumbing companies that repaired gas leaks. I contacted them on a Friday late afternoon and they made an emergency appointment for me on Saturday morning.
Tom, one of their plumbers, was here at 8:00 AM. Since the Washington Gas rep did not tag where the gas leak was occurring, Tom had to basically do that job before he could even repair my leak. I don't know what other plumbing company in the Washington Metro area would spend 4 hours at your home checking every visible gas line both inside and outside the house, explain everything to the homeowner, and repair it for less than $300. Tom explained that they don't charge by the hour, they charge you for the job. He also said to call them if there were any issues with Washington Gas. I was overwhelmed! I highly recommend Tom and Service Specialties, Inc.

Tom T did OUTSTANDING work replacing a water heater. He explained everything in detail, worked tirelessly to properly install it, change out the pipes to copper, and checked everything numerous times to make sure everything is in working order. He is personable and professional. We highly recommend him.

Excellent service and always timely with arrival times and completion of work. Fred is courteous and well informed. He always recommends but never pushes. I had SSI install a new unit a few years ago and they also service my older one. By far the best experience I have ever had with a HVAC company.

SSI folks always quick to respond informing customer of technicians arrival. Technicians are great, performing their diagnostic assessments and service repairs with confidence and professionalism. After 5 years I’m still a very satisfied customer and don’t hesitate to let others looking for a reliable HVAC company know it !!

I needed repair for my AC unit on July 4th! What a surprise when I got a technician at my house within 2 hours from my call. He was knowledgeable and super friendly. He also followed all the protocols for Covid -19. I am sold on this service. I will certainly recommend them to my neighbors.

In a word, Tom T! Tom is professional, knowledgeable, courteous and a truly trustworthy plumber. We had two urgent jobs, a kitchen sink and bathroom sink. Tom showed me every step of the way what he was doing and why it needed to be done. He earned his pay for sure with the old 1960’s copper pipes we have in our home, but he did it with total professionalism and made sure it was done right. I have my elderly mother and disabled brother in law that rely on that upstairs bathroom and Tom wasn’t leaving until he was sure there would be no issues. We need more folks like Tom in this world. I do hope SSI knows what an asset they have in an employee such as Tom.

Tom did a great job fixing our plumbing problem in a fast and efficient manner.
One of the pipe was punctured in the basement and the bathroom was flooded. He was able to replace the copper pipe despite a really tight access. While he was here, he also replaced a leaking shutoff valve in the same bathroom.
Overall, I am happy with the outcome and would strongly recommend Service Specialties for all your plumbing needs.

Tom Terrell was a complete professional. He was efficient, and completely explained everything that he was going to do before he did it. He left the work area cleaner than when he arrived and all trash and materials were removed when he left the work site. Cannot endorse him completely enough.

Called for a clogged sink and sump pump replacement. Tom was very professional and explained everything to me. He also pointed out some things that may need to be replaced in the next few years, so I can plan appropriately. Was extremely happy with the service he provided.
