The actual physical work was acceptable The problem with [redacted] Service Master Restore of Colorado Springs lies within their back-office They subcontract work out to 3rd parties but do not see the need to tell you that, nor do they bill for the cost of the job, just their own costs It seems they think it's your problem to figure out what companies they have brought in (and not told you about) When insurance gets involved, and requires you sign liability releases for future claims in order to settle, getting late bills from unknown subcontractors trickling in months after the service doubles the amount of time you must spend to manage the claim Their office will not return phone calls and seems disinterested in dealing with the problems they cause You can do a lot better than Service Master Restore of Colorado Springs

I am currently deployed on a remote Army base and am renting my house to a friend The water heater leaked in the basement and my renter notified me I called Farmers, my insurance company, and started a claim they recommended a water mitigation company come out and assess the damage I told them my renter had cleaned up most of it but they said it was wise to have the water mitigation company look at it They did not tell me who it was or that it was someone out of town I authorized it and without letting me know what they were doing or how much it would cost, they brought in a fan, took out the baseboards which they did not put back on (said it was not their responsibility although the billed me $for finish carpentry labor) I received an invoice by email from Egeler Enterprises, Incfor $which basically was for a fan to be driven from Colorado Springs and an elaborate drawing of my basement If you don't believe this ridculous bill, I have the copy I feel I was totally taken advantage of and because I am 7,miles away and signed an authorization, no one bothered to inform me what was going on and what it would cost Service Master told Farmers they billed me $which was not true Farmers told me that it was a fair price and because I signed the authorization, it was my obligation to pay it I mailed a check from *** on Tuesday July for $ I am disappointed in both Service Master for poor customer service and in Farmers for not dealing with a more honest company ***

This company is probably the most unprofessional company out there. Most of the workers were good and respectful. If you cherish your personal items either take them out of the house or be ready to have them damaged. When they come to your house makes sure you have the manager come through with you and check everything, we were told the boiler room was not damaged but when I had the manager check there were some soaked insulation and the walls were also soaked. Therefore that room was not ok. If you try to get ahold of the managers, good luck and if you do they will use there receptionist as the middle man. When you do speak to one they are rude and speak to you as if you don't know what your are talking about. They scratched our kitchen table and our wood floors but our discussion was to never let these people back in our home. Little advice do some research before you pick a company.
