Serviz Seattle, WA Reviews (1)

We called Serviz in Seattle Wa for repair of our washing machine. The appliance repair professional who was sent out was driving his private 4-door vehicle with no identifyiing indicators that would help me understand that he was the service professional sent by Serviz. That was kind of odd!
He introduced himself but did not offer to remove his shoes nor put a cover over his shoes when I invited him in to show him the appliance. Kind of odd #2!
When shown the appliance he made an immediate judgement call regarding the repair issue,"I know exactly what the problem is! However, I don't think I have the part." Considering he was driving what looked to be his private vehicle and not equipped to carry repair materials or parts, I wasn't surprised.
He came back to the door and said he would order the part but wasn't sure when it would arrive. Then announced he was actually an independent contractor sent by Serviz and could do other appliance repairs without my need to notify Serviz. Okaay...
I showed him a repair issue for our JennAire refrigerator. I had had an actual Jennair repairman out previously who had told me HE couldn't repair it because the brackets had broken off inside the plastic walls of the fridge. I told the Serviz guy about the previous call and opinion. He responded that HE could fix it. He just needed to order the parts.
He then moved over to my gas stove top and turned on the gas ignitors all without my permission. He heard a clicking sound that I already knew we had but because it had not affected the function of the stovetop and was merely annoying I put up with it. Anyway, he said he could fix that too, but (I think you already know whaty is coming)... he needed to order the parts!
He requested a pre-payment of $700.00-dollars to ORDER THE PARTS and I was naive enough to write him a check for the $700.00. None of this was in writing (My Bad!) and he said he would let me know when the parts came in. That was on a Thursday and by Sunday I called him.
This story goes on and on with lack of communication frtom the Serviz guy, repeated failure to show up when he promised and when he finally DID return with the washing machine part he said, "Oh,... I was wrong. It isn't the trigger switch. You need a new motor. I think you should just probably buy a new washing machine" We did and that was the LAST TIME WE SAW HIM.
He had taken our $700.00 Dollars for parts and NOT ONE THING WAS REPAIRED!
Obviously I emailed Serviz regarding the circus of events figuring they would take some action because of their online SERVIZ CONSUMER PROTECTION PLAN: Satisfaction Guaranteed and Upfront Transparent Pricing. WRONG! Serviz' response was exactly this,"We cannot offer assistance per our terms and agreements. Payment was not made to SERVIZ. It was made to the Independent Contractor who made it clear that he was not performing work on our platform. He stated a Gentleman on site (me) at this address wanted to move forward with repairs off our platform."
What?! SERVIZ was who we called in the first place and sent this guy out. There was NO offer to contact the repairman they sent out, no offer of financial recompense, nothing! Sorry, not OUR FAULT.
I wished we had saved our time and $700.00 for NO REPAIRS on anythjing. I wish we had called the actual certified repairman in the 1st place. I wish SERVIZ had honored their Consumer Protection Plan! But, maybe this review will save you from the frustration we have experienced. Good Luck!
