Believe it or not, my daughter didn't close the door all they and rain poured into my house for hoursThanks to Servpro of Albany, their high quality fans and humidifiers the problem was rectified much sooner that I ever imaginedClose the door ALL the way!

assignment at the request of *** with the local Servpro Franchise
*** *** an SMR with Servpro of Albany received a text message asking
for
us to place Mrs*** at the front of line as a professional courtesy
Mr*** agreed, and met with Mrs*** the same day Mrs
*** had a basement approximately the same size as the finished square
footage of the 1st level of her home Approximately to 40% of the
basement is finished with the rest being unfinished and used for storage
Mr*** assessed the situation and advised
Mrs*** that due to the tremendous amount of personal items in the
basement, Servpro of Albany could not assist with the contents as there was no
place to store them. Mr*** estimated
that the contents would fill up 4-(10x10) self-storage units which Servpro of
Albany could not secureMr*** advised Mrs*** that we would move and
work around large personal items but that it would be best for Mrs*** to
obtain help from friends or family to handle the contents.
Mr*** provided two estimate for Mrs
*** (1)for completion of the finished side of the basement with an
estimated range of $2,to $3,and (2) $1,to $3,for
completion of the unfinished side Mrs
*** agreed to pay $1,to begin with the remaining balance due upon completion
of the work
Due to the fact that we agreed to squeeze
Mrs*** ahead of other paying customers, the only time we could work at
her home was during the “down” time for our workers. Our workers graciously agreed to work
over-time to assist Mrs***. This was
factored in to the original pricing that we quoted Mrs***
Most of the paneling was removed by hand as
Mrs*** stated. The electrical
outlets were not secured to anything but the wall paneling and once the
paneling was removed they would naturally have no support. Our pictures of the finished project show no
broken fixtures, outlets, or hanging trim or nails
Mrs*** did request that we tidy up
the refuse pile which we did at 10:00pm at night.
*** *** observed the damage to the
toilet, took photos, and immediately notified Mrs*** via phone call that
the toilet was damagedThe next time Mrs*** visited the home she was
shown the duct tape. No attempt was ever
made by Servpro of Albany to remove the toilet
At the same time Mrs*** was notified
about the damaged toilet she was also informed that the sink, vanity, and
toilet could not be removed as there was shut off valve to the fixtures. She was advised that only a plumber could
remove the fixtures at that point. Mrs
*** declined to call a plumber stating she could not afford one
The crew did not damage the stairs but they
did fall through. Mrs*** did
point out the loose stairs on the first visit the crew made as they were
entering the home for the first time.
Mrs*** knew about a potentially dangerous situation and failed to
remedy the problem. Her recklessness
could have caused severe injury to our crew
The entire work area was treated with
antimicrobials on each visit
There is nothing falsified on Servpro of
Albany’s estimate. Our final figure of
$2,failed within the range quoted to the customer on day 1.
*** *** performed a walk through and
reviewed the estimate with Mrs*** after emailing a copy to her daughter
Mrs*** stated she did not have the funds to pay so Mr*** then called
***, the original estimator, to ask if he had worked out a different payment
arrangement He said he did not and that the customer was aware of full
payment at time of estimate Mr*** then talked to Ms. *** about
the final paymentShe proceeded to tell Mr*** stories of why she was not
able to provide the final paymentShe also stated why she was not happy with
the job we performed, such as the toiletMr*** then reminded her of the
conversation they had about not having the funds for a plumber to disconnect
the toilet and cabinetShe stated we did not treat the stairs, to which Mr***
had a technician re-treat the stairs once againShe continued to say she did
not have the funds to pay the remainder of the bill After some discussion she then handed Mr***
a post-dated check
Mrs*** stated she did not receive a
final copy of the bill in the complaint but says that she somehow wrote her
complaint on it. Servpro has not
received any written notification from Mrs*** about her
dissatisfaction. Servpro of Albany did
receive a call from Mrs*** stating she was stopping payment after our
crews left her home due to her dissatisfaction with our workMy production
manager *** *** placed a call to Mrs*** immediately asking to
come by and perform a second walk through.
Mrs*** did not allow Mr*** to come by and perform a
walkthrough
With the exception of “tidying” up the
debris by the road, Mrs*** had no issue with the work until it was time
to pay for services rendered. It was at
that point that Mrs*** voiced concerns with the toilet and treating of
the stairs. She made no mention of any
other items. Our crew addressed her
concerns on the spot. Mrs*** then
waited until we left, cancelled payment, and refused to allow Servpro of Albany
to perform a second walk through. It was
not until sometime later that claims of additional damage have surfaced. Servpro of Albany disputes that the claims of
additional damage are valid. Customer is
now requesting that we pay the cost of replacing the items damaged by water, or
items she knew needed to be repaired as is the case with the stairs and toilet

I cant say enough about this company they stand by their workThey make sure that the customer is very satisfied and leave the home in excellent condition

My tenant left the tub water on for hours in the apartmentNot only was her unit damaged but the one below her sustained damage as wellServpro came out the same day that I called and started working I was able to get the apartments inspected and rented within weeksGreat job Servpro! Thanks!

I would like to personally recommend Servpro of Albany for any water damage needs. They will always put the customer first! They know how to do a job right and when it is convenient for you. They work on your schedule and not the other way around. What a great company!
