I had a garage fire and contacted Servpro for an estimate for fire damage cleanup and repair I told the woman who answered the phone that I preferred to deal with Servpro directly and deal with the insurance company myself Approximately an hour later, I received a call back from Servpro and was informed that they would not deal with me directly and would only work through the insurance company On 4/27/17, a man from Servpro arrived at my home and said that a contract would have to be signed before he would submit a bid to my insurance company for the fire damage repair I declined to sign a contract that was incomplete The man left and today I received a bill for $for his driving to my home from Las Cruces (approximately miles) Had I been informed that I was to sign a contract before he would submit a bid to my insurance company, I would not have had him come to my home I have, in fact, received two other bids from companies that did not require that I sign a contra
