Review: On 11/05/13 our condo building was on fire and we suffered smoke damage in our condo. [redacted], our home owners, employed Servpro to carefully pack,take our furniture and other items to their warehouse to be cleaned and then brought back. We have a list of 20 items that are missing and items that are damaged. They have refused to pay for anything that is missing and broken. I do not know what else to do other than I am going to be calling news stations monday morning to report them.[redacted] the guy who came out to our house. Took responsibility for ruining our china cabinet and yet in the letter he emailed me about nothing of what is broken or lost is talked about just other minor things that we do not care about.Desired Settlement: I am not sure how to even price these items. Any help that could be given to us would be appreciated.

May 15, 2014To whom it may concern,This is in response to a letter we received concerning [redacted]. SERVPRC of Manayunk did a pack and move for the [redacted]s as part of an insurance claim for a fire that occurred near [redacted]s unit. This fire caused smoke damage to all of the contents in the [redacted] residence. SERVPRC of Manayunk was called by [redacted] to pack out, move, then clean all contents deemed salvageable, All Unsalvageable items were listed by the Insurance Adjuster, photographed, and assigned a value. [redacted] was made aware that these items would then be disposed of by SERVPRC. The contents deemed cleanable were then packed, moved to our facility at [redacted] where they were cleaned and repacked to move back. When [redacted] was ready she called SERVPRC and we moved her contents back to the residence. At that time [redacted] was very happy with our services and signed a certificate of satisfaction stating this.Three weeks after the move back received a call from [redacted] claiming that some of her contents were missing and some were darnaged. I went to the [redacted] residence to inspect the claims of damaged and missing items. After reviewing the list of items damaged agreed that some of the items may have been damaged by SERVPRO personnel. asked her to provide me with list of damaged items with a monetary value next to each item. The next correspondence received was an email asking for $20,000.00 dollars in damages, found this to be extremely high so began to investigate the file further. found before pictures of several of the items showing they were damaged prior to SERVPRO touching them. we also set up a meeting at the [redacted] residence with the [redacted] content adjuster. The [redacted] adjuster had more pictures of items that were damaged prior to SERVPRC personnel ever being ansite. We settled with the [redacted]s after many emails and phone calls for $1000.00 dollars. This complaint you received came prior to that settlement being negotiated,Sincerely
