Servpro Of San Diego

Review: I live in a condominium and had a leak, which damaged the unit below (unit 204). The owner of the unit 204, [redacted], called Servpro San Diego. I had already had my contractor in to remove a part of the ceiling and assess the damage. When Servpro San Diego arrived, they brought in a dehumidifier, two air movers, turned them on and left. I was there and this took maybe an hour. Three days later Servpro San Diego returned and removed the fans and check for moisture. I was also there and this took 20 minutes. When [redacted] Debierrie received the bill, he paid it and forwarded the bill to me to pay him, as I was responsible for all damage.

When I looked at the bill, I was surprised by what I saw. I saw a fee; “Emergency service call - during business hours" for $165.60. Their entire operation is based on emergencies and they charge $165.60 just to call them during business hours? When I called Servpro Del Mar (I have worked with them in the past), they stated that they have never heard of such a fee. In addition, Servpro San Diego charged for 4.5 hours of labor when they were only on site for one hour and twenty minutes. The owner, frank refused to speak to me, as my name is not on the bill; however, I am ultimately the one paying it.

I truly believe businesses need to make a profit, but this is wrong.Desired Settlement: I would be acceptable to split the $165.60 and reduce the hourly charge to two hours. This would mean a refund of approximately $230.18 of the $782.69 paid to Servpro San Diego.
