I am dissatisfied with the Communication in billing from SERVPROWhen I called my insurance company to notify them of a leek in my roof I was not notified that Servpro was going to be handling the clean up and or repair of the leakThey arrived without notification and had my wife sign a bunch of paperwork that was left blankAt no time was it disclosed that we were going to be billed for these servicesI assumed that this would be taken care of by the insurance company.I was later told by my wonderful insurance company that my claim was to be denied and that they would not cover the repairI called the rep that installed the drying equipment to have this discontinued at that pointWhen the rep from Servpro arrived they were very unprofessinal and gave me and my wife attitudeI was told that we were luck they were nearby as they were suposed to be off the clock by now and that we were holding them upI asked a number of times if this was something that I was going to be billed for or if I needed to pay them nowI was told nothing I was asked to sign the termination of equipment use form and they pulled the equipment and took offThis happened at the beginning of FebuaryIt is now May and I get a certified letter from Servpro stating that we owe them over $for equipment use and aspestes and mold testingIt further states that they are filing for a lien on my home nowI have yet to see one letter or bill from these people and now months later I get a statement from them that they are putting a lien on my homeNot a great way to do business if you ask meI would have to say on a scale of to - being worst and being best I would rate them at around a negative I will never allow this company back into my home and would not recommend their service to anyone

Bottom Line: If you choose to use this company, ensure that they include the job completion estimate in the authorization to begin work contract, but first please read the information below I used this company to clean the mold in my basement When they assessed the problem, they quoted me that cleanup would require three days Work was to begin on a Monday, the day after I had left for six weeks of training During my absence I never once received a phone call with an update on job progress Instead I initiated calls on two occasions, seeking progress of the work
I returned home after my six-week absence only to find that the mold containment was still set up, and the job unfinished Furthermore, the heat in my house was set degrees higher than I had left it, and my water was shut off When the water was turned back on, a leak sprung from the pipes Contacting the company, they sent out a plumber the next day to fix the water issue
When the final testing was completed, and the job finished I contacted the company concerning payment and the issues I had with their work I talked with a lady (who only partway through the conversation identified herself as the owner) who at times was near hostile on the phone She treated me as if her company was doing me a favor by paying for the plumber to fix a problem they created, and by completing a final vacuum of the basement as they finished the job (a task recommended by the mold tester, of which no cost was mentioned as the workers performed it) She flat out refused to pay the heating bill, despite a previous employee addressing the situation In the end they covered the heating bill, again an issue they created
Completing the job, the company left the basement in a terrible condition Ceiling vents were hanging from the ceiling, screws ripped from the drywall Clothing and equipment was left in garbage bags None of this was addressed or mentioned as the crew left the house
The final unresolved issue, and biggest complaint, is that no effort was expended to address the fact that a three-day job took over six weeks They cited weather and temperature as an excuse for the final mold testing; however, during the job period there were days suitable for mold testing, a fact supported by historical weather data
In the end, not once did the owner attempt to apologize for the duration of work, or issues created during the job or acknowledge any responsibility She was hostile on the phone, and tried to put me on the defensive Their actions lack the accountability of a company providing a service to a paying customer
