Servpro of SW Raleigh / Cary / SW Wake County Reviews (1)

Refund for hardwoods that were ordered incorrectlyI asked Servpro to order some additional hardwoods so that I would have matching materials. They ordered the wrong materials. I asked them to pick up the hardwoods and issue a refund. They picked up the hardwoods but have not issued a refund, and ignore all requests for a refund. I have called the office, the job supervisor, left a message for the owner, sent an email to the office, job supervisor, and the owner.Desired SettlementI would like a refund of the $1500 I paid for the materials.Business Response As client stated in her complaint she ordered additional hardwoods so she could would have MATCHING materials. That is exactly what we delivered. What she did not tell us was she wanted a different width.Client currently owes us $14,936.00. We offered her two choices: We would give her a credit against her bill or since the job is complete she would give us the proper paperwork necessary to send bill to insurance company we would give her a check. We did not create this problem and have done all we can to resolve it.Consumer Response On 9/15/15, [redacted], an employee of ServPro came to my house after a crew had been there a second day working on the house. He told me that he had checks for my hardwoods, and the food loss from the pack-out of my kitchen that sat in a pod for 11 months while they did almost no work on the house that resulted in an ant infestation. He told me that [redacted], the owner, told him to only give me the checks if I signed a document he then handed to me. It stated that their work was complete on the house, and referrenced a document I don't have, and don't remember seeing, outlining the work to be done. The work was clearly not complete on the house, so my signing the document would have been a lie. I informed him that I considered this blackmail and refused to sign it. He told me he would not give me the checks, per [redacted], even though he held them in his hand. He informed me that [redacted], who hired ServPro, would not pay them until I signed it, so technically, I owe the money, and they are holding the checks until I sign it. I was told that I could not file a complaint against ServPro with Revdex.com for the various issues I've had with their work over the past year on a job they told me would take 2-3 weeks, because I DID NOT hire them, [redacted] did. In response to ServPro's response, I was clear with [redacted] that I wanted the wider boards to match the upstairs hardwoods, and the additional materials match I referred to in my original complaint were so that the $1521 worth of materials I paid for would match the wide boards specified for the bedroom they were already doing for [redacted], which I wanted to match, which would match the upstairs. [redacted] and I took the sample board upstairs to do this match before I paid him for the additional materials outside of the [redacted] job. ServPro did re-order the wide boards for the bedroom install, and at my request, did not re-order the additional materials, as I have no wish to ever work with them again. The long term plan would have required my working with their flooring sub, and ordering additional materials at a later date to finish out the downstairs, all as separate transactions from the [redacted] job. The flooring is now installed in the bedroom with the wide boards, as [redacted] hired them to do, the additional materials were not ordered, and I have sent an email to the owner that I will sign the document that says the work [redacted] hired them to do is complete, when it is complete, and I am provided with a copy of the document it references and warranty documentation on the work. Then it will be complete and appropriate to sign. The money owed to me for hardwoods not delivered as ordered is still an outstanding issue and separate from any money owed to them by [redacted]. So no, I do not owe them any money and they should take this up with [redacted], or comply with my request to finish the work, provide me with the document it references, explain the warranty on their work in writing, and I'll gladly sign the document they claim will make [redacted] pay them, immediately. My request for resolution of this matter remains a refund of funds paid for hardwoods not ordered corrrectly the first time, then not re-ordered.
