After 5 calls, 5 voice mails, not one call back. I received a letter from Sessoms and Rodgers on March 24 (dated the 19th of March). Informing me that they were now the owners on my debt and that "if necessary legal action would be taken within 30 days of the letter" I have called this phone number written on the letter a total of 10 times and left 5 voice mail messages. The recording states that all requests for a call back will be handled within 24 hours. I am just trying to speak with someone about settling this debt but it seems like all this company cares about is taking me to court. I would greatly appreciate a call from them so that we can work this matter out. Desired SettlementI just want either a phone call or email or some kind of acknowledgement of my attempt to reconcile this matter before the 30 days written on the letter. The collection agency refused to provide a debt validation for the alledged debt. (Even after written request.) Sessoms & Rogers refused to provide a debt validation for the alledged debt. Sessoms and Rogers has yet to contact me after several times I have called and left messages back in May 2014. They are unresponsive.Sessoms and Rogers sent me a letter in April 2014, stating I owed them money. I have never heard about them before and knew I did not have any relation to them. I called and left a message asking them to send me documentation of this debt. They sent it to me and it was from a company who has written off my account almost 2 years ago. I called and left several messages and gave a couple of days in between for them to contact me, they did not. After several attempts I finally got ahold of someone on the phone after I kept calling. I spoke with a gentleman who had told me they had received my account information in November 2013, yet had not contacted me for over 5 months. When I asked why, he told me that he did not have a reason why they had waited so long. I sent them a small check to pay them something after getting their address from the man on the phone. I then called back again, leaving several messages, finally a young man called me back. I told him I would like to inquire about a settlement with them and he told me he did not have that authority, I asked if I could set up a payment plan and was told again that he did not have that authority to set that up with me. I asked why someone who did have that authority was not calling me or talking with me on the phone instead and he could not give me an answer. He told me someone would call me back to set up a payment plan or to talk to me regarding a settlement amount (this was back in May 2014 and I have STILL yet to hear back from them!). They are unresponsive and looking through the Revdex.com complaints, many other consumers have the exact same issues with this practice.Desired SettlementI would like the company to call me and discuss a settlement amount and if I cannot afford a settlement amount I would appreciate them contacting me to create a monthly repayment plan. I would like the company to actually follow through with some decency and integrity that they boast about on their website. Their job is to work with the consumer and as far as I'm concerned they have not done their job they have been hired to do through another party.Business Response We will respond directly to the consumer. I called two times on Monday, Aug. 11 at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30am and left 2 separate messages before a woman ([redacted]) called to say she would be handling my account personally. She told me she would be calling me back in a couple of days after a proposal was sent over (that was Aug. 12). I waited until Friday, Aug. 15 (giving them more than 2 days for a call back) and called them around 9:30am, giving them plenty of time to call me back the same day...I still have not heard from them. Someone did call me once. I called again today, 8/28/14 at 10:45 am and left a message, no one returned my call by the end of the day so I called again at 4:10 pm and left another message regarding the letter and another account they have that they never told me they had. I am a full time teacher and am using my planning time to call these people during the day and they rarely answer the phone. On the occasion someone does answer the phone, they then transfer me to the department, but no one answers and I always have to leave a message. Complaint06/16/2014. We receive a letter in 2013 offering a settlement on this account (XXXXXX) Call today requesting settlement amount. Rep refused to give.We are in the process of losing our home and this account is attached to the title as a lien. The account number is XXXXXX and the current amount is [redacted] I asked for a settlement amount. The rep would not give a settlement amount. And requested that he could speak to the mortgage company about this account and requested paperwork to be supplied. I told him that we do not have any paperwork yet and my husband would have to authorized that. Ask again for the amount of a settlement and told him that it was usually 40 to 60% of the amount owed. If we get anything from the mortgage company it will be after we surrender the home. It will arrive too late to keep us from living in our car for a few weeks. If anyting it will be barely enough to move into a place. This company is cruel and uses the law to vindicate it's practices. All I wanted is a settlement amount. I should have filed bankruptcy when I had a chance. But when you try to clear up accounts give your home back cause you can't pay everyone preys on you. We just need a settlement amount under the normal percentage criteria.Desired SettlementWe wish to settle the account for the least amount possible.Business Response We will respond directly to the consumer. This company blind contacted me inference to a matter I had no knowledge about requesting personal info without telling me the issue first.This company blind contacted me inference to a matter I had no knowledge about requesting personal info without telling me the issue first. The male customer service rep just started requesting personal information as soon as he came on the line. I was very concerned and tried to figure out what debt did I not pay. All debt I have, is in good standing and I had never received any letter or notification stating I have a unresolved debt. If I had a debt from a commercial company I am sure they would have my correct information such as my address,name,SSN etc. However, this company which made me think this was a scam. Unfortuantely, I was so concern about getting the matter resolved that I gave him my address and finally, refused to give him my phone number after he would not give information what this matter was about. So, I ended up hanging up the phone. I looked up this company and they have had several complaints as being a scam companyDesired SettlementPlese block or have the company approach me with some form of accredited document stating I have a debt instead of blind calling me without revealing themselves before requesting personal information. This law firm will not do what they are supposed to do. I have tried, but no successThis law firm had a judgement filed against me in the [redacted] office. I have paid this account off in full. The judgement was for $1105.00 and my check to them was $1111.39,which I paid off on October 13,2014. This law firm will not send the proper notification to the clerks office for me. I have talked to them about this several times,but with no results. I think this is so unfair to me as I think that it should have done been done.Desired SettlementI want this settled immediately, because Iam a Senior Citizen.
