Please see the debits and credit below. There was credits issued for late fees. The first was off of a balance, however, the other was accrued over some additional invoices. I approved the additional credit because this customer was on autopay on the platform and did not realize there would still be outstanding balances that would have to be paid to accounting.

Review: The general consumer needs to be aware of the deceptive payment and billing practices that SettlmentOne uses in order to try to attempt to charge excessive late fees. It has been brought to my attention even though our company thought we "paid in full" for every transaction at the time we procured their credit report services that apparently a small portion of the bill could not be paid on that platform. So the company from a $1.23 invoice from the portion of the fees that could not be paid online due to their platform is trying to assess hundreds of dollars of late fees in regard to. To finally get to this understanding took an incredible amount of time and continual follow up with Settlement One. My contact person who attempted to collect the debt could not even reconcile our account balance or provide any of the support requested to understand the charges. In stead all she could do is say she can waive $100 of the late fees and ask for payment (even though that is just the tip of the late fee iceberg).Desired Settlement: Zero out these bogus late fees as we have paid for all of the services rendered promptly upon bringing this to light. No one even attempted to contact us until over $250 of late fees had accrued in relation to said invoice.
