Mortgage Lenders of America (MLOA) is a Client of SettlementOneSettlementOne provides access to consumer credit reports to financial institutions for the purpose of evaluating them for a home loanSettlementOne does not work with the consumer, initiate any credit transaction, or make credit decisionsMLOA did pull the consumers credit for the purpose of evaluating them for a mortgage loanThe mortgage process often takes more than one credit pull to finalize a loanAgain, these pulls were made by MLOA with the consent of the consumer belowSettlementOne in no way pulled this credit on our own behalf, we are simply the technology/data providerWhen the consumer contacted SettlementOne, we processed a form letter per credit bureau guidelines and forwarded to MLOA to determine if the multiple pulls were indeed validSettlementOne cannot remove a credit inquiry, only assist in the consumer/client communicationWe received the letter from the consumer on 09/14/17, processed, and sent MLOA their response letter on the same dayWe also sent the consumer back a response letter advising them of who pulled the credit, and how they can work with them to dispute inquiriesWe fulfilled our obligation to the client and consumerAs of this date, MLOA has not responded to us with any instructions and should be working directly with the consumer at this time [redacted] ***Vice President of OperationsSettlementOne
