To Whom it May Concern:Thank you for forwarding this complaint and bringing it to our attentionWe have been aware of this certain clients concerns and have been exchanging emails with the client, [redacted] ***We have attached the emails dated and tinned and numbered them for your convenience along with her contract[redacted] first approached MsPrecious via email with her wish to withdraw from her sewing classesAt Sew Magarba, our adult students are given a contract that encompasses our studio's policies and regulations prior to taking the classStudents who are signing the contract are adhering to the understanding of Said policies and regulationsBefore being given the contract, the teaching style and class structure is discussed with the client to see if it is of interest to them.After discussion of class structure, registration options are then observedEach registration option is described in detail, both verbally and physically by being written within the contracts given and on our websiteAt Sew Magarbo, adult students have two registration options:1.) Opting for a month-month commitmentOr2.) Opting for the year-long commitment ("present'-until June 2018).(in the month-month Commitment, students pay $125/month, What distinguishes between the two options are not only the price hut the flexibility, if enrolled in the north-north commitment, students are able to withdraw at any time they wish throughout the school yearIn the year-long commitment, students pay $99/month; however, flexibility is not as easy as that of the month-month commitment in the contract of the year-long Commitment, the withdrawal policy states that due to them signing to be committed for the entire year, the remaining months in the school year must be paid x $99.In [redacted] 's case, that is $693.00:December, January, February, March, April, May and june (months x = $693.00)Our records show that the December payment [redacted] claims went through, did not,These policies are stated within the contract with each policy having her initial beside itWe had trusted [redacted] had read and understood the terms prior to signing her name to ensure there is a mutual understanding [redacted] is complaining about not receiving the services she paid for - being taught how to SewIn early emails, her initial complaint was that the class was "unstructured" and the teaching style was not of her likingSew Magarbo has been teaching sewing for seven years and our classes are performed in a way where each student works at their own paceStudents work on different projects and acquire different skills while being taught by a teacher(s) for the duration of an hour.We had explored different alternatives for [redacted] prior to her signing her contract, such as suggesting the month-month Commitment, but she had refusedWe also mentioned private classes due to her wanting a specific method of teaching after sending emails with her complaint but she had refused them as well (evident in the emails)The teacher of [redacted] ***'s class was MsS [redacted] MsPrecious L [redacted] is the owner of Sew Magarbo and sits in during a few classes to supervise and make conversation with other students in order to help the classroom encompass that of a friendly and warm environment.Please note that the "personal conversations" [redacted] is complaining about in her submission to the Revdex.com were not her initial reason in withdrawing from classThis is apparent in the first few emails exchanged where she states, "Honestly, I am not learning anything in class anymoreIt's hard for me to learn in an unstructured class environment." (Please refer to Email if 1)it was not until email #where she first mentions her "frustrations with Precious repeatedly using the entire class time to discuss her marital issues and problems with her in-laws instead of teaching the class how to sew."Sew Magarbo had done its part in rendering its services to each of its clients and [redacted] ***'s did not prefer our specific teaching styleThe complaints of [redacted] stating that MsPrecious was not rendering services are invalid for the following reasons;1.) MsPrecious was not the instructor of the classMsS [redacted] was, MsS [redacted] was rendering the services and she did her part in teaching.2.) Personal conversations were not directed towards [redacted] ***It was between MsPrecious and another student who is also a good friend of hers.This is not a matter of professionalismIt's a matter of ** [redacted] breaching the contract at hand and refusing to pay for the remainder of classes when she had signed her name on the contract stating she had read and understood the termsWe wish for there to be an understanding between our studio and [redacted] ***We do not wish to cause trouble with her regarding payments but our contract has been made and cannot be modified to accommodate any special requestsAs any other business, unsettled accounts are sent to the collection agency for further reinforcementWe ask for her to be mindful of the rest of our studio's clients who abide to the contract and recognize the formal establishment of a signature.Sincerely,Precious L [redacted] Sew Magarbo

Good Morning,Unfortunately, I do not have a copy of the contractHowever, the terms for withdrawing from the "yearlong" class is stated on Sew Magarbo's website under "Classes/Workshops/Camps"It is as follows: Tuition and PolicyPayment PoliciesAutomatic payments will be processed on the 1st of each month Filling out the pre-authorization processing form may make automatic tuition payments Failed transactions incur a $failed transaction fee and another $if not settled before the 7th of the month If signed up for the “yearlong” (Until June 2017” ,please know that there is no class withdrawal process If signed up in the month to month basis, you are required to give the studio days written notice in order to discontinue the charges and drop a class PLEASE FILL OUT the DROP FORM WHEN GIVING NOTICE OF DISCONTINUING CLASSESForms are to be filled out in person to avoid confusions and any “misdeliveries” Withdrawal forms not received thirty days (30) prior to the first day of the month when tuitions are to be auto-debited will result in charge of tuition fees for that month Withdrawing from contracts signed incurs a termination fee amount of $(for the kids and teens) or $(Adults) multiplied by the number of months remaining in the contract.A family discount will apply to families with three or more students enrolled in classes as follows:3rd sibling: $60/month= ($600/year)Tuition is based on a yearly fee with the option of being divided into ten equal monthly payments ($1,250/**$990/discounted for 10-month program enrollees) Your monthly payment is not related to the number of classes in the month When you enroll, you register your child/self for an entire season of classes--September through June With our strict teacher:student ratio, we keep each class to a maximum of We anticipate the student finishing the year therefore turning away new students once class is full We don't overbook The number of classes that occur in any given month depends on the calendar and any holidays or breaks that may take place during that month (We follow the LCPS Holiday Calendar) Each month is different Depending on the day of the week that your child is enrolled TUITION IS NOT PRORATED DUE TO ABSENCES, WEATHER, OR SCHEDULED CLOSINGSKind Regards, [redacted] ***
