[redacted]I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. It slipped my mind. The only way I can try to help you is to order that part and put it in for no cost to you. Viking will not pay for it so it will have to be at my expense. We can see if that makes the difference. If not I...

would still be at the mercy of Viking. But at least it wouldn't cost you anymore. Please let me know if that would be alright.Thank you,[redacted]  Sew 'N Save 13640 W Capitol Drive Brookfield, WI 53005 [redacted]

Review: I have an Husqvarna Viking Sewing Machine - Quilt Designer II - which is 8 years old. Originally purchased new at Sew N Save for approx $2400 in 2006.

It was stitching erratically. Took it in for cleaning/service on 8/4/14 ($84.07) . Did not solve problem. Returned machine to Sew N Save to attempt to repair or diagnose problem. Was told by their in-store technician :"it could be the main board( $300.00) or the motor ($200.00) - but I'm not sure if this will fix the problem". I told them I didn't want to spend $500.00 to "start replacing parts" if it wouldn't solve the problem. They were also unable to duplicate the problem. The technician made additional adjustments (no charge) and I took the machine home to try again. The problem continued.

I returned to the store one more time with my machine - in attempt to demonstrate the problem with owner/technician present. The machine started stitching erratically with owner([redacted]) and technician([redacted]) present. At this time, [redacted] told me he was in contact with the main Viking technician (he had them on the phone while I was in the store). [redacted] came over to my machine, made some maneuvers on my machine, and stated "it's the main board - that's what the Viking technician is telling me - you need a main board" I told [redacted] and [redacted] that I was glad they figured it out - I don't have a problem spending money to repair the machine, as long as we know what the problem is and what can be done to fix it.

They replaced the main board at a cost of $326.85. I brought the machine home - problem with erratic stitching continued.

I called [redacted] the owner. Told her problem continued. She said she would call me back after speaking with [redacted]. She then called me back, and stated "[redacted] said he told you that you needed both parts replaced - the main board and the motor. " I reviewed the events with her. She said she didn't remember any specifics- I told her my story was the accurate one and asked her how she can make this situation "right". She said she would contact the main Viking Repair technicians and call me back. That was on November 12th 2014 at 5:21pm. I have yet to hear from her and I have an expensive sewing machine that malfunctions.Desired Settlement: I would like you to contact them to let them know I filed a complaint. I also want this to remain on file for other customers to view. This was unethical to treat anyone this way. They charged $326.85 for a product they didn't deliver. They have a fundamental problem with their business, and the customer (me) paid the price. Thank you.
