I could go on for hours about how terrible my experience was with TCH PlumbingI can appreciate that they needed to do demolition at my property to access the leak, and they did the job, but the customer service and communication were terribleThe worst I've experienced with a plumbing companyI had four different people communicating with me at various points in the process about breaking through walls to access pipes, and I had no idea what was going on until I finally got the owner on the phone to help me understand the total scope of the workThen, at the end of the job, they charged my credit card for $1,before I ever saw an invoiceI did approve a "range" for services (between $1,100-$1,400), but I have never had a company run my credit card before sending an invoice and giving me an opportunity to see an itemized list of work performed, agree to them, and then pay the invoice once I understand the chargesBecause I did not know they were going to charge my card, I ended up having to pay additional fees because the expense exceeded what was available in the accountThis would have been avoided if I'd had a heads up (by way of an invoice) that payment was due immediatelySometimes a person needs a few days to pull together over $1,to make a payment like that, and because they did not tell me they were going to charge my card, my account ended up overdrawn, causing an additional financial burdenI would hope TCH learns how to treat their customers with a greater level of empathy and respectThey also promised me that my tenant would be able to take a shower despite the demolition, and they did not follow through--my tenant went two days without being able to take a shower in her own homeI believe a customer has the right to know the exact amount of an invoice before they are charged--and I still shocked at how terrible this experience wasI have now hired Chip at Firefighters Handyman Services ( to complete the repiping and repairs, as they have never and would never charge my credit card without my explicit permission to do so after viewing the itemized charges and total amount dueI would strongly recommend hiring anyone but TCH Plumbing

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.

We were waiting to make sure the leak did not reappear.  As of today, the leak has been fixed and the ceiling repaired.  Please contact complainant for verification.

Review: MKM Tree Service agreed to work on the trees in our yard over 7 weeks ago. [redacted] came out to our house, assessed the work to be done, and quoted a price. We scheduled the work for the week of June 11, 2012. The firm did not show up as agreed. After numerous unreturned calls, it was agreed that the work would then take place on either July 4th or 5th. Again, the firm did not show up. Finally, another date of July 19th was set. Again the company was a no-show. We have now wasted four full days of waiting at the house for the company to arrive, canceling other activities and holiday plans with family, etc., not to mention waiting almost two months for the work to be done. Excuses given by the company were personal reasons, incoming work on storm damage in the valley, and the summer heat. Our job continued to be pushed back due to other jobs. When the work was originally commissioned, heat was not an issue, as temps were 20-30 degrees less or so than they are now. In addition, during the most recent contact with the company we stated that there was now an urgency to the service, as we, too, had suffered storm damage and now have a very large, heavy, main arm of one of the trees broken and dangling precariously from the top of the tree, threatening injury or worse when it does fall. As I stated above, they did not show up to fix the problem and have made no attempt to contact us to explain why, set a new date, etc. The company has been difficult to contact by phone. Calls we have made to them go to voicemail, which are never returned. If we get lucky enough to actually reach a voice on the other end of the phone, we get nothing but excuses and hollow promises. This is not the way to conduct a business. We understand that things come up, plans change, etc., but the company has made no attempt to keep us updated or follow through with service. We had high hopes for this business but have been sadly disappointed. We will not recommend this business to anyone.Desired Settlement: We would like this complaint to be a permanent part of their business record, to serve as a warning to others that this company is not professional or dependable.



Even though this is the first complaint we have ever received, we take it very serious. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, such as storms; high heat causing three employees including myself, heat exhaustion and heat stroke; and a death in the family, we were unable to make the scheduled appointment.

We did communicate with the customer and even though she thought they were one excuse after another, unfortunately they were the truth. We are a small company so when unforeseen circumstances happen, it throws us extremely behind. Our other customers were very understanding during this time and we're very sorry this customer felt neglected.
