At this time, I have been contacted directly by Sewerage & Water Board New Orleans regarding complaint ID 10290169, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
They sent an inspector out to read my meter, but that was all...the individuals only job was to make sure the meter
was reading accurately I was told by this individual that my water bills may have been estimated too high and that that happens all the time
Sincerely,

On Tuesday, June 26, 2018 residence on Wingate Dr. in New Orleans, Louisiana 70122. Wasn't informed there will be drilling on the corner of Wingate Dr. and Rapides Dr., but there was also a loud gas smell that came up out the ground or from the water that was being drained.

On Wednesday, June 27, 2018 residence on Wingate Dr. in New Orleans, Louisiana 70122. Was home and wasn't informed by the water company that the water going to be turned off, but the residence noticed the water was turned off. The employees of Sewerage & Water Board New Orleans never updated or apologized to the residence about the water being turned off and it seemed as the employees didn't care to inform the residence, even if it was a danger to their health to be without water. Very unprofessional and uncaring company, they didn't even knock on everyday or leave warning signs on every door. The residence went hours without water and their water is still off.

Review: The SWBNO has no way to prove to me what my exact usage is, no where on my bill is there a number that corresponds with my water meter. I assume, as the consumer, that their should be a number that I can go to month to month to do the simple math myself that proves the amount of water I have been using is equal to what I am being billed for. Currently my charges state that we are somehow using 5000gallons of water per month, that's 165gallons per day. At 25 gallons a shower which is the most gets the highest water usage it just doesn't add up. My highest bill to date was for 102 dollars during a month that myself and my roommate were away for most of that time. They have admitted to me more than once that bills are often estimated due to lack of manpower which is certainly not my problem. I've been keeping track of the meter for about 2 weeks and today Friday Oct 31st the meter read 34,104.7 gallons and as of Saturday Oct 18th it read 33,157.8, that's 13 days and breaks down to 70 gallons of usage per day, which is more like it should be, not the 165 gallons per day that sewerage and water board has been estimating.Desired Settlement: I desire compensation for these fabricated bills that I have been receiving from the SWBNO and hope that my meter will be read properly from now on

Review: I have attempted to change the 2 following water accounts (under the name of "[redacted]) to be billed instead to the "F[redacted]". I was told that this process was taken care of. The two bills are still being billed to [redacted] and are now delinquent. The two water accounts are [redacted] and [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want the late fees amended (due to SWBNO's continued errors) and I want completion of the original transfer of both accounts to the French Press HOA.

Review: I spoke to a customer Rep. On 3-15-2016 and I was told my final payment was in the amount of $557.66. When I signed in to make the payment they added an additional amount of $362.83 to my account. I called the to try and find out what was going on and the guy immediately says it must be a water leak. Well my response was the Apartment was on the 3rd floor if I had a water leak all the tenants under would have been complaining of water in their apartment. He puts me on hold after maybe 5min he says were gonna put it under investigation can you meet them at the apartment. My response is no because I don't live there anymore which is I closed the account. He then state they will check into it but make sure I keep making payment so they don't shut the water off at my new address. The reason why I am opening the case because 2yrs prior to this I had to open a case with them and even if the problem is the companies fault the cunsumer still has to pay so this time around I am hoping to get help from a 3rd party to clear the problem.Desired Settlement: To have the company remove the outrageous charges on my account of $362.83

Review: I was fraudulently overbilled by the sewerage and water board of New Orleans on the bill dated 04/20/2016. The posted/billed meter reading was 5,333 on 04/20/2016. I personally took the reading on 04/26/2016 and it is 5,316. So, it was actually lower one week ago.Desired Settlement: I request that my water meter be read again to accurately reflect my water usage. I also, demand that a new bill be printed and mailed to my address with the correct payment amount due.

Review: During the past 7 year's I have trying to resolve disconnect and meter removal notices problems going to their Customer Service Department. On March 1, 2016 they took the meter. Spoke to a Customer Service Representative's several times whom did not want to here or review my account. Told that Billing did not want to talk to anyone. Requested an investigation, spoke to a manager; awaiting repond.

Reviewed my records creating a spreadsheet recording the annual amount due balances from 2008-present. My records reveal that there Billing Department did not adjust the payments accurately. The annual amount due balances has been running with fees since July 2009. The payments exceeded the March 2016 amount due balance. The account was double charged with fees. Accused aggressively in 2013, 2015, now through present.

I have been deprived.Desired Settlement: Investigate ... "Suspense"

Review: For the last several months, my water bill has doubled. When I called and spoke with a representative the first month it occurred, I was told that the bill was an adjustment for the prior period's bill, since the water meter was not actually read, but estimated. The month after I called, the bill was more in line to what I was used to paying. Since that time, the bill has doubled again and again. There is simply no explanation. A plumber inspected my property and there are no leaks. I am not the only household complaining in my subdivision. Something is wrong and no one will look into the issue. Other than Revdex.com, the only other alternative I have is the media.Desired Settlement: I would like an clear and honest answer and I want to see my bill corrected. There is absolutely no way that two grown individuals living in the same home for 16 years doubled their usage in water consumption the last 4 months. It's impossible.

Review: We continually have issues with the Billing Department for SWBNO overcharging our client accounts. Here is the latest: Bill for February 2015: 199.17 (paid on time)Bill for March 2015: 505.92 (contested immediately; paid on time)Bill for April 2015: 315.92 (paid on time)The bill for March 2015 is in error, as you can see. The water bills for this property stay within $175-350 a month; they never shoot up to $500 or above. Ive had no plumbing issues on site to cause anywhere near this amount. Also, this bill was flagged and reported immediately, yet we were still charged for it and have yet to receive a rebate. As a point of reference, this also happened on an account I manage at 906 Royal, where you erroneously overcharged my client by $500.00. It was refunded when it was observed that the bill had dropped back to normal after the amount charged.Desired Settlement: I simply want them to bill us properly, for the water used on site. That bill would be between $175-350/month, not $500+. Please refund us the $100 or more for that month, and in the future, please stop overcharging us, then automatically deducting it from our account!
