Review: On August 27, 2015 at approximately 9am I took my 98 GMC Jimmy to Syberts Garage for a gas tank replacement. They told me that it would b a 2 and a half hour job at an hourly rate of 45 dollars an hour. I brought the gas tank with me that was supposed to be put in. I didn't hear anything all day about my vehicle so I decided to call them to see if the job was done and if I could come pick up my vehicle. When I called Ken he informed me that when they were replacing the gas tank they broke a plastic piece off of my fuel pump and they had to replace it. Ken said that he tried to call me but the recording said that the number was no longer in service. He never got my permission to put the part on. He informed me that the part was $233.90 plus tax. I told him that I could have gotten the part for $62.57.I told him that I will be down to discuss this further in 20 minutes. When I arrived at the garage Ken had already left.His co worker Andy was there. I told Andy that I need to speak with Ken about this situation. I told Andy that they didn't have permission to put a $233 part on my vehicle. Andy became irate. Swearing at me using the * word. He told me that I think they are my slaves and that I want everything for free and that I wasn't getting that fuel pump for free. He even threatened me and said if he has to he will come up to my house and take the fuel pump off himself while I'm sleeping. There was no talking to this guy at all. He couldn't produce an invoice stating what the price that they paid proving to me what the part actually was. Not only was it illegal for them to replace a part without my knowledge or permission. But I was completely and utterly harassed from the moment I walked into the garage by Andy. I wrote the garage out a check for $120 to cover the labor for the gas tank which took 2 and a half hours. Even after I paid for what was legally my responsibility he told me to get the [redacted] out and don't come back.Desired Settlement: To be exempt from charges for fuel pump due to there negligence cause they broke the fuel pump to begin with and did not have my permission to replace it with a new one
