As discussed during our phone conversation, I diagnosed the car (Sebring) outside in the yard. Both me and my colleague put in 4 hours in a three to four week time frame and then advised the customer that there was a harness problem. We did...

the research trying to find an engine harness and matching ECM combination for [redacted] / [redacted] - no part number was found. We checked with Auto Salvage Yards as far away as Alberta - no one had one. The customer was never satisfied with our findings.

I charged 2 hours diagnostic time which I think was very fair.

The customer had advised us that his car had been at [redacted] for 8 months prior to his bringing it here to us. I went over to [redacted] and talked to the Service Manager to find out what they felt the problem was with the car while it was there. The Service Manager advised me of their findings and he also told me they do not want him back as a customer ever.

I'm not satisfied with the answers and here's why
Number one he said it was three hours labor that he worked on the car when the car didn't move for four months I disagree with this synopsis said he was outside working on it since I drove by it everyday
As well him going to [redacted] and asking the mechanics air for the reason why it doesn't start well if I wanted the reason why wouldn't start it would have left it there which I didn't I took it to him with the expectations of him fixing it which he didn't
And then there's [redacted] they didn't do anything to this car like they said they did I have another shop repairing the car right now and they're going over situations at [redacted] said they did and they didn't
For example thermitight said they took the computer out of the car and put another one in it and tried it unfortunately the shop there were it's at now took the computer wrote full of dirt never been touched
So the businesses around here are basically ripping everybody off from [redacted] to [redacted] to [redacted] they don't care how they do their work as long as they get their money
And the service manager from [redacted] telling me we don't want his business why last laughable cuz I wouldn't take anything to them nor what I buy a [redacted] ever because I can't fix them and I work in the automotive industry
I just wanted my money back from [redacted] that car sat there for 4 months as I said he didn't do anything to it he didn't move it didn't take it into his garage when I went to a shop it always tell me what I need a couple hours to get it in the shop and work on it he never did the man's overrated and as far as I'm concerned he's a crook
