Thank you for contacting
me regarding an incident at our car wash involving Mr. [redacted]. I
attempted to respond and handle the situation that day but was ineffective...

doing so due to the manner in which Mr. [redacted] and his passenger were acting. I
completed refunded their money immediately as they requested. ($34.97) This is
not an admittal of guilt, they were clearly unhappy and we terminated their
plan. I could not explain myself, show them our carwash equipment (which he
eventually looked at), explain that there is no proof of such scratches and
describe the idea that we have signs posted at both locations, clearly before
entering both tunnels, stating that we are not responsible for “Any non-factory
installed items”, “DO NOT USE if vehicle has body damage, loose chrome or
non-standard accessories” I tried explaining this to him and the fact that if
there was an issue with our equipment we would be scratching every vehicle not
just a specific vehicle.
I, the owner, am
completely aware of the situation regarding the idea that Mr. [redacted] believes we
scratched his rims, after just two visits at a visit to our car wash. I am
really taken back from his actions that day and days after. These actions bring
me to my next points and that I feel there is a type of scam trying to be ran
on our business. Since Mr. [redacted] has stopped at our wash to complain on
7/8/2015, he has displayed the following actions which make the complaint
extremely suspect: Both Mr. [redacted] and his passenger verbally assaulted me on
premise, squealed the tires pulling out erratically toward oncoming customers
entering the car wash, they already have a similar claim with [redacted] tires
for rims issues/scratches, Mr. [redacted] demanded cash/check/money order for $600
without any form of proof and/or paperwork, calling both the office and
personal phone making threats and then proceeding to use social media and other
online outlets to continue the slander and harassment by posting unfavorable
reviews and continued false claims and accusations and only visited our wash
twice. It does not add up and this is not how typical, unhappy customers handle
themselves or go about filing a complaint with Sgt. Clean’s Car Wash. He has a
very threatening and anger tone and disposition. Similar to irate customers but
all of our customer issues calm down eventually as we listen, address the issue
and resolve their concern. I am always respectful and try my best to correct
every issue.
We wash from 6,000 to 10,000 a month without any
complaints of any rim issues what so ever. We did a complete remodel and
installed new equipment in September and in October at our other location. All
new equipment, maintained weekly/monthly through documented checklists and
procedures. So that would be a total of roughly at minimum 36,000 car washed
without issue relating to tires and rims.     
We do have issues that arise at the car wash.
Since September we replaced 2 side mirrors, hand full of wiper blades and a
couple of plastic wiper caps. All these customer issues were dealt with and
paid for by us. There has also been issues with accusing us of scratching 3 customers’
cars. All 3 cases, the customer was walked through the car wash, examined all
equipment, reviewed camera footage and we all mutually came to the decision
that the car wash did not damage the car. The other Complaint was closed
and handled in this same type of matter. Lack of proof. (Upon further
investigation, one car was scratched prior, one a neighbor hit the car and
failed to tell the them and the third was a victim of a young child
backing the car into a fence) all three people we hand waxed and buffed out the
starches at no cost to them as a courtesy and to continue our great customer
