I am writing in response to your letter dated 8/22/in reference to the above I.Dnumber and person in the complaintI would like to say that until this complaint I believe our company, Online Trading Academy of Philadelphia has never had a complaint against us because we always try to
resolve a problem with our students to make them happyThere are certain circumstances when you feel someone is just trying to take advantage and this situation feels that wayWe did respond months ago to this student with the same explanation as below but it appears this may be a personal financial situation she has and is looking for a way out which is not our fault. The student *** *** purchased the education package on November 18th (enrollment agreement enclosed) for herself during our day orientation classThe day class she attended explains all the education we offer as a schoolWhen she decided to further her education she received our core strategy program which is the basics of our education and our Forex program as wellAt this point Ms*** attended our day core strategy class in December and asked us if we would allow her husband to attend the class with her “no charge” because she felt it would help herSince it was December and there was an extra seat in that class we agreed to allow him to attend even though this class on its own would cost $7,Our education consists of in-classroom instruction with instructors as well as online education that coincides with the class room education so students can stay engaged with their education 24/as desiredThe student Ms*** also had been using our online resources for months at the time she asked to cancel which is not stated in her complaintWhat she does state in her complaint is she never came to her Forex class which is true but she did spend lots of time on our online resources consuming Forex education onlineAfter consuming all this education she called to say she wants to cancelMs*** was told we could not give her a refund for any part of the education because of the in class time and months spend using all her online resources. When the enrollment agreement was written and signed she also signed a loan agreement for the balance of the cost of her education less the $3,down payment we received from herI am not aware of the amount of calls made to our office that is stated in the complaintI am aware she called here a few times and was told we could not just wipe out a loan debt and that she was unwilling to accept responsibility for part of the remaining loan even if I was willing to get involved with helping. There are times when a student will consume our education for months online, as in this case, and feel they can use the education and try to call months later to get a refund or their money back to take advantageI`m not saying this is the case here but it could be and that is not fair to our organization. Most people who want to cancel their education do so within a few days or even weeks and do not come to class at all or use our online education at all. I am writing in reference to your letter dated September 6th ,20L7 with the reply of Ms. [redacted] to myanswer to her complaint. While I stand by my complete statement in response to her original complaintI feel someone has to step up and put an end to this.I will accept all monies paid to date as settlement in full on all education used to date. lf acceptable toMs. [redacted] we will contact the company who financed her loan for the education to send the loan back tous and we will settle it with them.I appreciate the involvement of the Revdex.com in this issue and await an answer on how weshould proceed.
