I followed the directions very carefully. My dog had a tick that has been on her for 36 to 48 hours according to the doctor. The tick was not dead, but still alive and engorged with her blood. When I purchased at the vet clinic, they did not mention that it only covers 90%of the tick bites. They explained to me as it was 100%. They didn't know it only kills 90% until I told them after talking to Seresto com. That info was nowhere to be found until I called the company. My dog was NOT in the water at all and it was put on tight, verified by the vet. I followed the directions and read all the info that was given to me including the brochure. I was aware that the life shortened if my dog went into water. She didn't. There was never any information about only working for just 90%. If I knew that, I wouldn't have bought it on the first place. In my opinion, it is false advertisement. However I did receive the rebate this week.
