During a storm in July, 2014, my AC was damaged and I called a contractor to determine how severe my AC was damaged. The contractor told the AC coil got severely damaged and the coil cannot be combed because the coil will break and/or the AC will lose the efficiency. The contractor recommended to replace the AC unit. As a result, I decided to submit an AC claim to my home insurance and I submitted the diagnostic and estimate from the contractor. The insurance adjustor send Shade Tree Mechanical to determine if my AC needed repairs or be replaced. The adjustor told me that Shade Tree Mechanical combed a portion of the coil and combing is the only repair.
Shade Tree Mechanical combed the coil without my authorization and ignoring the previous diagnostics.
