The patient did come in to have a crown done. The crown was originally prepped on 11/**/12. The patient had a temporary crown seated, because the crown has to be sent to the lab, which generally takes three weeks. Once the crown was back, the patient was not through paying for the crown, and he...
waited a little over a year to have the permanent crown seated. When the patient came in to have the temporary crown removed, the permanent crown did not fit due to the amount of time he wore the temporary crown. It was no fault of our practice why the crown did not fit. It was the lack of the patient coming in within a month to have the crown fit. The patient was informed prior to his appointment that we would not charge him to remake the crown, but he would be responsible for the lab fee of $200, which he agreed upon.
