IN JAN 2014 [redacted], MY WIFE CAME DOWN WITH THE FLU. WENT TO DR [redacted] AND WAS TOLD THEY TAKE THE [redacted] PLAN. . NOW AFTER 3-6 MONTHS THEY TELL US THEY DON'T TAKE THE [redacted] PLAN AND WE HAVE A BILL OF ALMOST 300$. MY WIFE NEEDS HER PAIN MEDS AND THEY WON'T CALL THAT IN UNTIL THE BILL IS PAID.WE CALLED [redacted] TO SEE IF THEY HAD HAD A CLAIM FILED IN [redacted]'S NAME AND AND THAY HAVEN'T.. THE DR'S OFFICE WAISTED NO TIME IN TAKING MY CO PAY FOR THE VISIT EVEN THOUGH THEY DON'T TAKE THE PLAN. HAD WE BEEN TOLD THAT THEY DIDN'T TAKE THE PLAN WE WOULD HAVE FOUND A DR THAT DIDDesired SettlementWE DO NOT FEEL THAT WE SHOULD HAVE TO PAY THE BILL AND OUR CO PAYS SHOULD BE REFUNDED TO US. AS I SAID HAD THEY BEEN HONEST AND UP FRONT AND TOLD US RIGHT AWAY THAT A MISTAKE HAD BEEN MAID IT WOULD HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT. TO WAIT TILL MAY-JUNE TO TELL US AND THEY DID NOT TAKE THE PLAN IS NOT RIGHT. NOW REFUSING TO CALL IN TO THE PHARMACY HER PAIN MEDS IS NOT RIGHT. However, we did file Mrs. [redacted]'s insurance properly. She had three visits and each visit was applied to her deductible. Her insurance plan only allows her to visit certain physicians. Therefore, if she chooses a physician not on her list then the charges are applied to her deductible. It is the policy holder's responsibility to make sure that physician is on her list. This information should have been provided to her by [redacted] when she chose this plan. Her balance is $293.32 which I do expect payment for since all her claims were filed with the proper procedures. She may wish to contact [redacted] with further questions and to receive info on the claims filed. She was told that she could make payment arrangements but she simply refused to pay.
