A parts and labor warranty was given by Shamrock Waterproofing. Since install, the system fails with each rainfall. SW refused to honor the warranty.A french drain, sump pump and sump pump bed were installed by Shamrock Waterproofing in our crawlspace on April 26, 2014. Initially we thought the standing water and odor issues were resolved. When we recieved our first rainfall the standing water and odor returned. We called Shamrock immediately. They returned and made a change to the system. Again, we thought everything was fine. After a couple months after each rainfall there was the odor again and standing water in the crawlspace. After several unreturned phone calls and emails I recieved a phone call at 3:51 pm on Friday, August 15, 2014 from one of the workers and he came to look at the crawlspace on Friday, August 15 at around 4:15pm. He suggested we contact a plumber because he said it looked like a the water was coming from a plumbing line. I immediately called and scheduled a plumber to come Monday, August 18. The plumber came and looked. He said it was definitely not a plumbing issue. It was in fact a drainage/waterproofing issue. I immediately called Shamrock Waterproofing at the two phone numbers I had, one from their website which consistently goes directly to voicemail and the one for the technician/worker that has seen the crawlspace. I also sent photos of the problem to [redacted]@shamrockwaterproofing.com. I have left [redacted], owner, several voicemails and sent him several emails since we had a plumber look at the issue to ask them to honor their warranty. Since Friday, August 15, 2014 I have not received a returned phone call or voicemail from anyone at Shamrock Waterproofing. I let them know that we would be seeking legal advice and take action against them if they refused to honor their warranty. They have not responded with any contact. That implies that they are refusing to honor their work and agreement. I have documentation from [redacted] stating the the "system with dry out the crawlspace soil and keep it dry". The system is not keeping it dry. The warranty state "INTERIOR WATERPROOFING CARRIES ALIFETIME WARRANTY ON GROUND WATER ONCRAWLSPACE FLOOR. WARRANTY COVERSLABOR AND MATERIALS.WARRANTY DOES NOTCOVER CONDENSATION FROM A/CUNITS,PLUMBING LINES,ETC. THIS WARRANTY ISTRANSFERABLE AT NO CHARGE".Desired SettlementWe want them to honor their warranty and fix the problem or refund the full amount that we paid them so we can hire someone else to fix it.Business Response /[redacted]/Shamrock Waterproofing supervisor visited [redacted] on Tuesday, August 26th to address the issues of concerns. At that time, she also informed the supervisor that she would contact the Revdex.com and let you know we were there and addressed the concerns.

Hired Shamrock to waterproof our basement so I could finish it with drywall. The system has failed 3 times I want my money back.We purchased a home in November 2014. When we purchased the home we were aware of water intrusion in the basement. We had several companies come out to give an estimate to waterproofing our basement. We hired Shamrock waterproofing to do the job. I personally showed the foreman where the leak was occurring. He ([redacted]) assured me that he would be able to correct the problem by waterproofing the wall from the inside of the house. We went with this company with their assurance and the fact that they have a lifetime guarantee. The job started December 29, 2014. I called [redacted], the owner of Shamrock, the day of the install with concerns about the process. He never returned my call he told his foreman that I called him. I spoke with [redacted] and he assured me that the job was done correctly. I accepted his word as he is the expert. The interior basement wall that Shamrock fixed leaked on February 22, 2015. I contacted [redacted] owner of Shamrock Waterproofing and sent him pictures of the leak. I told him that I did not want [redacted] to come out to fix the issue I wanted a different foreman. [redacted] never contacted me. His employee [redacted] set up an appointment for [redacted] the new foreman to come out and look at the wall. He told me on March 5th that he could fix the issue. Shamrock Waterproofing came out on March 21, 2015. They again attempted to repair the job and again several weeks after the 2nd job was done the wall leaked again. On April 21, 2015, I emailed [redacted] again, this time asking for my money back so I can find someone to do the job correctly. He wanted to come to my house to see the job. I told him he could come out but I did not feel comfortable having his company try for a third time within 4 months. He came out looked at the basement on Friday May 1, 2015 and told me "it isn't going to get any better than this." He wanted to look at my front stoop where I told his company that water was coming in. He offered to repair a few mortar joints on the front step and I told him NO. I paid over $5000 for a repair inside not a $30 exterior attempt. I am asking that all charges on my citi card be refunded to me. I have enclosed all emails I sent to Shamrock Waterproofing and [redacted]. I have asked repeatedly for Shamrock to refund my money so I can pay someone else to fix the water issue in my basement. Shamrock has not agreed to refund my money. I have only gotten a response from him on Friday May 1, 2015 (see attached).Desired SettlementWe purchased a home in November 2014. One for interior basement waterproofing system, one for excavating the area to install an exterior waterproofing system, and one for interior drainage in part of the crawlspace.Shamrock Waterproofing, Inc. installed 2 of the 3 estimates on Monday - Wednesday, December 29th - 31st, 2014. The 2 estimates installed were the interior basement waterproofing system and the interior drainage in part of the crawlspace.Every time Shamrock Waterproofing, Inc. was notified there was an issue, we responded and performed additional work to try to fix the issue, at no cost to the homeowner. Each time we did additional work, the issue improved. On May 11, 2015, I visited the site after Mr. [redacted] notified us that there were still small water spot on the wall. I inspected the system we installed and confirmed the system was functioning properly and informed the homeowner the spots were coming from above grade. I noted that the front stoop needed some repairs to the mortar joints. I offered to repair the joints myself, at no cost to the homeowner, to see if this would fix the water getting into the basement from above grade. Mr. [redacted] informed me that I could look, but not touch anymore locations on his home. My offer still stands to fix the mortar joints, at no cost to the home owner. At no time did I tell Mr. [redacted], that "It isn't going to get any better than this".I do believe that by fixing the mortar on the stoop, will fix the water issue that is coming in from above grade. I am willing to continue to address the issue if this does not fix the problem. Thanks,[redacted]Shamrock Waterproofing Inc.I hope this information is received. The letter received in the mail is the first information about this complaint I have received. Consumer Response /[redacted]/Shamrock ensured us that all water issues would be resolved with the water proofing system. There was never and mention that the above grade issues would not be taken care of. This above grade issue was pointed out at the time of the estimate as a major concern. I was told it would be fixed. Shamrock waterproofing charge us over $5000 for a $30 fix on my exterior mortar. I want my money returned. As far as the comment, Mr. [redacted] did in fact state that the interior job was not going to get better than this.Final Business Response /[redacted]/The basement floor system we were hired to install is functioning as designed. The water spots on the wall is minimal and would improve if the stoop joints were fixed with mortar. We did install a rough cast system on the wall and this is also functioning properly. After installation there were multiple areas on the front wall that had water staining and those areas are now fine with the additional work we have performed, at no additional cost to the customer. The only area, with a few small areas of water staining, is behind the stoop. The cost for the wall coating, which is not a warranty item, was $1314. We performed several other jobs for Mr. [redacted], and with the exception of the few water spots on the wall behind the stoop, all of the other systems are functioning as designed. My offer to mortar the stoop joints, at no extra expense to the customer, still stands open. Thanks,[redacted]Shamrock Waterproofing Inc.
