Shanan's Daycare

When I returned to work after being a stay at home mom for three years, I was nervous about putting my kids in a facility. It was important for me to find a place that could be a home away from home for my kids. I am glad I found Shanan and her daycare!! My daughter and son attend this home-based daycare and I have been thoroughly impressed with Shanan. She cares for all of the kids as if they were an extension of her own family. She feeds them well and provides lunch and snacks that are mostly organic and healthy (with the occasional treat for birthdays and holidays). The atmosphere is always immaculately clean, organized, and inviting. The kids are constantly bringing home creative projects, from a leprechaun catcher, recycling themes, foam paintings of the ABCs, and much more. Also, Shanan works hard to be a great team player with the parents. She is genuinely concerned with the well being of my children and provides a daily check list of what the kids ate, napping patterns, mood of the child, and other special details when needed. I feel relieved that I found a place where if my daughter falls and scraps her knee, someone who cares for her will pick her up and brush away the tears and then hold her until she feels better. Shanan is "mom" when I can't be and I am grateful for her.
