Shands' Diesel Truck Repair

Review: Our food bank's semi tractor was involved in an accident on Oct 23rd, 2015. We had the truck towed to Shands' repair in Lodi. The parts were finally ordered on Nov 23rd. we received our truck back on Dec 14th. When we received it back we noticed there was body work done to the hood that was supposed to be new, and the mirrors were not installed as when it went to the shop. We were told to bring the truck back to get the hood buffed out. We took it back to the shop on Jan 4th 2016 to have the hood buffed out and mirrors installed. We got it back on Jan 6th, but still showed signs of body work on what was supposed to be a NEW hood! We were told to bring the truck back to get the NEW hood repainted. We took it back on Jan 28th, and as of today Feb 2nd,2016 they are still not done with it. This has been the worst experience with a repair shop for me in my lifetime! Its been over 2 months and they are still working on this truck. If not for me staying on their butt, we would still be waiting to get this job done. Their customer service is terrible, no communication, no follow thru,and shoddy work to boot! People need to know that Shands' Diesel Repair is not a reputable shop, and should be listed as a shop to stay clear of. They have cost us a lot of time and money with the lackadaisical manner in which they performed. This was our only tractor to pick up food with, and we have exceeded our allotted rental truck allowance from the insurance company by $2500. We feel an adjustment to help us with this bill is in order.Desired Settlement: Our Bill was over $15,000. We believe it would be fair to ask for a 10% refund to help us with the added expenditures.
