Shane Bowden The Gallery

I purchased three paintings from Shane Bowden Gallery on 19/11/2025. The purchase confirmation stated delivery would be within 7–14 business days. During that period, I requested to cancel one of the paintings and the business agreed to issue a refund (as shown in screenshots).

Since then, only one painting has been delivered. The second painting is still missing and no refund has been processed for the cancelled item.

I have contacted the business more than 10 times via email and social media with little to no helpful response. When I do receive a reply, it is vague and treats the matter as if they are unaware of both the missing item and the agreed refund. I am repeatedly told they will “look into it,” but I receive no further updates unless I continue to follow up.

Despite asking multiple times, they have refused to provide a phone number. Today, the business blocked me on social media and stated that I must return the painting already delivered in order to receive any refund - This business is a scam, DO NOT BUY from them / Jan 2026

Plane and simple. I order a piece and never received it . Never answered any phone calls and stop responding to my emails after they knew I wouldn’t be able to fight the charge with Amex . Scam, bad business, bad people. Some people would sell their souls for a dollar. Sad.

Shane Bowden has an account with our company and left town in the middle of the night without paying his bill. He’s a scam artist.

Review: Unfortunately I would not even call this place an art gallery it is more of an art scam with a scam artist. Last year I had the unfortunate experience of purchasing a piece of art from this crooked gallery. After I purchased a painting I was told they will ship it to me and I should get it within a few weeks. It took over 2 months before I got my so called painting. What I got was a defective painting on a warped frame and it was a completely different piece from the one I had purchased. I contacted the gallery to have it replaced over a dozen times and for the last year they have been promising to send me a replacement but I never got one. The employees at the gallery are constantly changing and nobody ever returns my calls. After doing some research on the business I found out that this artist is a crook and the gallery is a big scam. In addition to this, Shane Bowden had to close his gallery in Hawaii because he never paid his employees and has been scamming innocent shoppers like me his entire life.Desired Settlement: I initially requested then to replace my art but since it's been almost a year of promises that it's coming I want my money back for this art. I paid with my credit card $950 on March 30, 2014.
