I would not recommond Shaney's Lawn Care and Landscaping[redacted] , owner of Shaney's, started work on our backyard landscape project in May of It is now July of and the project is not completeHe does not return phone calls, sets a date to work and does not show upTypical start time of work is after 4PMClearly trying to do a major job on the side(Over a $30,project)With each item he has done, we have had to inspect, and then have him redo because things were not qualityThe sub-contractors he used for electric work have not been paid and are calling US, even though we already paid Shaney'sThis has literally been the worst year of our lives, dealing with *** and an un-finished backyardWe have to call, text and email everyday, hoping for a return answer, to determine what and when the will be done next on the jobHorrible!

I just re-read the estimate as it's been a couple daysOption does include ALL the work that was to be completed by this landscaper and wasn't doneThanks, ***

We had our new patio and lawn put in the end of mayDespite following the watering schedule to a T the lawn still hasn't grown where they put new top soil and seeded (it's now the beginning of August!) To top it off, the owner Brian has been less than repsonsive to our calls requesting him to come back and fix it (he promised a 2yr warranty on the lawn)Terrible customer service and time managementI would strongly suggest you bypass Shaney's if you're looking for a landscape companyWe have tried so hard to work with BrianMake sure you pay with a credit card and wait for the results of the job before final payment

The guy has no clueGave us different start dates and didn't show up for a single oneWould not answer calls or get back to us! Complete joke of a company!

I called Allen Bbecause I needed an answer to am important question He was kind and considerate and took some time out of his day to help me solve my problem and did not charge me I am so grateful for his kindness and that of his office staff as well They even called back to check on me later

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowUnfortunately, most of *** statement is and this is just going to continue to be a finger-pointing battleIf you look at the pictures *** attached in October of our job, how do you see yards of top soil? In the picture, you see top soil in certain spots (dark black colored is top soil) and then it's actual existing fill/clay that was already on our yard, which is a majority of the pictures attachedThere is no way that much top soil he stated was brought in, as we have other professional landscapers stating this to us nowAlso, if you look at the pictures, 1/of the back of lawn was never graded/top soiled/seeded per contractWe contracted for an entire acre to be graded/top soiled/seeded and that was not completedWith that said the contract was not fulfilled and completed accordingly in Fall 2015, which requires refundYes top soil was brought to our yard in late June 2016 to patch areas of our lawn, but that was not much once again. In October before our job was started, we contacted *** and suggested him to get out of the contract and be paid for work completed, as he did not have enough time to finish our yard as he pushed it back month from the scheduled date of finishHe had continual excuses for cancelling and/or no showing and there was not much of rain that time of the year to use as a "good excuse"We let him know on September 26, that we understood if no work was started we could get our money backAs of October 4, the job was not completed and we informed *** that we would like to wait to spring and that was due to his negligence on our jobWe were told the job was to be completed the week of September 20 and it was now early October and not completeWe let him know if it was not completed asap, we wanted to push our project to spring as we had prior engagements to be gone for weeks and did not want this to affect our lawnHe said not to worry as it would not affect our watering schedule during that time of the year and would not VOID our warrantyWe followed the water schedule as requested in Fall In spring 2016, *** did not aerate our lawn twiceHe came out once to do this in early June and barely reseeded at that timeHe informed us NOT to water or cut grass for weeks verballyOnce again, how does grass grow without top soil? Regardless of what deal this business gave us on the contract, we paid for a professional lawn which we did not receiveWe did not ask this business to do extras, the business offered to as this was a referral. It sounds like he underbid the job as it was referred and now we are burned with a lawn not complete due to the unprofessionalism of this business and unfair business practicesI have many emails/texts in writing showing everything that was clearly stated to usDo you need to see a copy of this?
I would not recommend ANYONE to pay this landscaper/business any money upfront/final payment until warranty is completeOur warranty and contract was not fulfilled and we want a refund as we requested of $2,If you cannot compromise for your work/warranty not being fulfilled to the contract, we will seek further action as the Revdex.com is not assisting quicklyYour contract with us was not in code with the Wisconsin law and you are fully aware of this along with additional violations with the Wisconsin StatsPlease see the attached pictures of the lawn today not professionally doneYou can tell there was NOT much top soil brought to our yard to grow grassThis landscaper is not professional and should not be in business!

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowWe don't accept the response to the work that was done and here are reasons belowYes the lawn was seeded on Tuesday October after many attempts to let you know we would seek further action as this was to be installed the week ofSeptember As *** promised he would be at our house on Wednesday October to bring all hoses, sprinklers and timers and setup and go over with usRegardless of what you are saying now in the business response, he over promised what he said would be completed and his mom doesn't know the actual contracted job that was said to usThe sprinklers were dropped off late Friday October without hoses and timersWe tried calling *** and *** on Friday and Saturday to inform them of the issues Friday night that we were still missing hoses and timers that were promised and neither *** and *** would answer calls or textsI proceeded to email business with concerns and *** left message on Saturday about *** supposedly coming over soon with the rest and finish setting upNo one showed at house so We purchased our own hoses, sprinklers and timers that weekend and set up ourselves as they never returned to our job site since the Friday October to dropoff sprinklersSo yes the job was not completed by Shaneys as they stated to us what would be doneI proceeded to contact Revdex.com as we made final payment Wednesday October and did not have a job complete as promised*** was to complete the mound and ditch work with the lawn installation and this wasn't done at the time the lawn was installedHe over promised things on our job and offered complimentary services on some things completed but that's what was promised and sold to us before contract was signedIf he had an issue doing what he offered complimentary, he should never tell a customer something and over promise and undeliverThis business has no customer service and poor sales service altogetherBoth *** and *** do not communicate in the business about all the issues on our job as *** would tell us one thing and his mom *** would try and tell us otherwise*** was never involved one our job up until *** had to call and makeup excuses for why *** was not making it to the job site after id threaten seeking further actionI had to continuous contact *** and follon appointments cancelled and no showsThis is so unprofessional and no one else should deserve this for the amount we paidWe are told and have in writing that if grass is not grown in spring, we have a warranty for *** to come back and reseed lawnAlso it states the mound and ditch work to be complete at that timeHow can we trust this is going to be handled in a professional manner as our job was not this fall? I have a feeling this business is shady and will not come back to perform services if grass is not grownWill I get refund at that time if grass not grown and if ditch and mound is not done per contract with *** who sold the job? I want a date and time when job will be complete, as I will keep case open if you don't want to give refund of money now

First of all the lawn was completed on October not October as stated. Yes, there were delays due to weather. When doing fine grading it needs to be completely dry so therefore when it rains work is delayed a minimum of business daysThere were no VM messages on the
office phone since October 6. Our company policy is we will return all VM as soon as possibleAlso please note our hours are m-f 9-and sat 9-as stated on our website. Do I answer phone calls or return missed calls after those hours? Yes, occasionally if I feel there is a need to follow up before the next business day or if I was unable to return/answer calls due to being busy with other business mattersWatering a new lawn is fully the homeowner’s responsibility. The contract does not state that sprinklers, hoses, and a timer will be provided. We were doing this as a courtesy to make it easier for the homeowner to be able to water the new lawn easier. We did drop off the sprinklers on October and there was nothing preventing the homeowner from setting up the sprinklers when our schedule did not allow us to return promptly. You both have to remember you received your new lawn at a greatly discounted price with the $courtesy discount, and the other services we provided for free. ierepairing the retaining wall which included bringing in more stone ($value), burying the downspout ($value) and providing sprinklers ($value). There was also the fact that we were not paid according to the signed estimate which clearly states 1/down with the signed estimate, 1/down at the start of work, and the remainder when the project is completed. We did not receive the second 1/down (due at the start of work) until after the project was completed(Payment was received October 7)
