Review: I ordered a Troy-Bilt Charger for my hedge trimmer on 6/14/2013. I received it several days later. It would not work. After several attempts at contacting Shank's I received an email with a return authorization number. I returned the product. Since then they have not returned any phone calls or emails. I have spoken to someone named [redacted] several times; he tells me he can only relay my message and cannot guarantee someone will contact me. At this point I am out $30.25 plus the cost of mailing the product back to them.

I want a working charger or a credit.

Review: Upon calling Shanks Lawn equipment on 5\19 the first question I asked was could the service on my [redacted] zero turn mower be completed by 5/22? I explained that I have a small mowing business. I would need it to mow customers lawns, and I would be starting at noon they assured me it would be completed. I again spoke to the service manager on 5\21 and he relayed the service they had already completed and that there was one thing left to do that my mower would be completed in the morning of 5\22. At 1100 am on 5\22 I called he said he would check and get back to me at 1150 am he called and left me a voicemail and said that they had one thing to finish and would have my mower ready early afternoon. I called four times over the next three hours only to continually be sent to voicemail At four oclock I go to Shanks I inform them that they are 4 hours late with my mower and the exteremly rude service desk attendant informs me that he only takes payment for service, if I am mad about my time table I need to speak to the service manager. I recieve my bill and I was charged an extreme amount for a service, but I understand the carb had to be rebuilt. I wouldn't have been as upset about being overcharged had the service been on time and fixed correctly. I take my mower and head to customers lawn already half a day a behind. I unload and begin mowing the mower bogged down and wouldn't stay running with the blades running so now its 445 I call shanks and get sent to voicemail on three seprate occasions. I had to act like a jerk before someone would get on the phone at which time I informed the service manager that that the mower he just serviced would not run. It was my belief that the only outcome that would correct this situation would be shanks comming out to pick the mower up to repair it and bring me a suitable replacement to use until they could fix mine. He lied to me and said he couldn't do that due to liabilty reasons. I then asked what the difference was between that and a person taking a mower for demo his response was that I did not buy my mower from shanks!! Now mind you when I took the mower there it did have miss and I was behind on my prevenative maintance but I could still mow grass with out the mower shutting off. So here I am now going to be a full day behind which in turn caused me to have to work on memorial day as Marine Veteran I would much rather be remembering my fallen comrades as opposed to playing catch up due to someone elses negligance. I payed a mobile service tech to come and fix the problem which was the carb was never cleaned out properly. Another 100 bucks down the tubes so total for this mower was $566.00 plus a days lost wages which is in the neighborhood of $600.00Desired Settlement: I want to be compensated to for lost wages $600 plus the $100 it cost me to have their repairs repaired $700 total I have no problem paying for the work they did but I should not have to pay for their mistakes. I will seek a law suit if this cannot be mitigated through other channels. IE the Revdex.com.

June, 18, 2014 We regret that [redacted]s expectations were not met and understand his frustration if the unit did not perform satisfactorily.We make every attempt in our service dept, to repair units in a satisfactory manner and this instance was no exception.This unit was tested when the repair was complete and everything seemed in order.There are numerous statements and accusations in [redacted]s dialogue that could be contested and clarified but are irrelevant to his demands in the correspondence,We would like to simply make three observations.1- The complete service bill was $466.62. Of that total, only $137.92 was related to the carburetor repair that he alleges was still not totally solved when he used the unit.2- He alleges that the mower "would not run" when he actually told our service rep on the phone that it bogged down and lost power in mowing conditions.3- Even though he fails to mention it in his dialogue, we offered to have a service technician stay past our closing time to facilitate him bringing the unit back immediately to have us check the problem he experienced and resolve it. This would have been the quickest solution and would have involved much less down time for [redacted] than calling another repair service and would have been done at no additional cost to him. Review: I order a part for lawn mower, was put on but part didn't fit. I emailed company to return, they sent me address to return and had 14 days to return part to get refund, so I sent the part the same day July 1st. Now I receive an email that they were not going to refund my money and for me to send them money to return same part or they will discard the item on July 11th. I have email confirmation on both things. They said I returned the part rusted and used, It didn't fit the lawn mower to be used and how does it rust in the few days that we had it? This item was shipped back the same way and box that we received it in.Desired Settlement: I would like my money to be returned, they received there part back.

July 18, 2014 We are responding regarding the correspondence from [redacted] concerned an intended return on Order # [redacted].Following is a copy of the Order Terms and Conditions that the customer acknowledged at the time of order.As requested by the customer we issued a Return Authorization Number so the part could be returned for inspection and hopefully a credit.When the part was returned and inspected it obviously had been installed. The mounting holes had threads cut into hub and pulley had belt path markings.The credit was denied since the part had been installed and could not be sold as new,Regards,Shank's lawn Equipment LLC

Review: Two e-mails I sent them follow:

The transaction was declined and asked me to re-enter the information so I tried again & was declined a second time and to re-enter the information.

I tried a 3rd time and was again declined.

Now I find that I have been charged the $17.47 three different times but your site says the transaction was never approved!!!!!!

Please correct this now.

For a left hand handle stop on a [redacted] lawnmower placed around 10:30PM to 11:00PM Pacific time last night.

My order was declined 3 different times but I found I was charged $17.47 three different times!!!

I have no order number because the pop-up kept saying it was declined and to input the information again.

[redacted] has been contacted & is aware of the triple charges.

I just found out now from Yyour Revdex.com site that this company has a rating of F!

Please help me,Desired Settlement: Refund all three (3) charges of $17.47 immediately.

I had a gift [redacted] card to specifically pay for

(1) payment for blood tests to continue chemotherapy medications

(2) bolt extractor from [redacted] (3) lawnmower part

I first went to the health site but they were closed so I went to [redacted] & input the info

Then I went to the lawnmower site & attempted to input the info as stated above.

After I could not get any confirmation, I checked my e-mail and the [redacted] order was declined because of the 3 charges from the lawnmower parts store which must have immediately processed the billing but kept saying the order was declined.

[redacted] sends me e-mails several times a day for Payment Decline Notification for your [redacted].com order

And I can not continue chemotherapy medications without payment.

June 18, 2014Regarding [redacted]s attempted transactions on June , 2014 we regret his experience but cannot change the situation for the following facts which are Supported by the screenshot of his attempts from our credit card processor that are pasted into this ,He made three attempts to complete the transaction, all of which failed. We never received any funds at all for any of the three attempts as shown below. A$hown in the transactions logs, all three were declined by fraud intervention software because of data entry mismatches with the card issuer records. Obviously, the credit card Company that issued the Card regarded these as temporary transactions and had them posted as pending which is likely why they told [redacted] that they couldn't help him until June 17th which may be the temporary approval expiration date according to their policy.Of Course there cannot be a chargeback or Credit because the sale was never completed and we sever received funds. We suspect that if indeed a gift card" was used that it was never registered with [redacted]s address data which likely is the cause for the transaction failure but have no way of proving that and since We are PCI complaint the data below is the only information we have to go by,Shanks Lawn Equipment LLC

The credit card company finally removed the 3 charges from SKANKSLAWN so I should be able to pay the chemotherapy blood test bill.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
