I only received the very first invoice which billed me for 75.00 (I believe) and the last statement (upon request).  After that, this business was not responding to any of my requests.
Thank you for contacting them, which caused them to actually get all of my statements to me. I'm very unhappy with their service but knowing that they are not simply stealing from me is a relief. We were hired by the complainant to assist in a Family Law matter in late February. We charge an hourly rate of $250.00 for work done by attorneys which was explained to the complainant. It was also included in the Agreement signed by the complainant at the beginning of our representation. We send...

invoices to the client throughout the process and in this case invoices were sent out for the ongoing work that was being done on February 27, March 7, March 20, March 30, April 16, April 20, and April 30. Each invoice shows the work that has been completed since the last invoice and the new balance of the client's retainer. The attorney and staff also maintained contact with the complainant from date of hire until the day we were informed she was unhappy. Throughout the process the complainant and the attorney discussed the different options and what would be best moving forward and the complainant changed her mind several times bouncing back and forth based on how things were going in her day to day situation. The attorney worked with her to keep up with how things were going and maintained contact with the opposing counsel to continue moving the case forward throughout the process. Every dollar billed is accounted for in the invoices and much more time was spent that was not invoiced because the attorney felt for the complainant and was working to help her resolve the issue with as little financial impact as possible. Further, the complainant was billed for no staff time, even though according to the agreement their time may be billed as well. We strongly believe that we did everything we could to effectively represent this client and to assist her through this difficult time. When we were informed she was unhappy and seeking new counsel we even waived all owing balances to allow for a simple transition. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
