RESPECTIVE Revdex.com STAFF MEMBER, SIR, THE ABOVE REFERENCED WORK WAS FINISHED AND APPROVED FROM RESPECTIVE JERSEY CITY BUILDING OFFICIALSTHE PROPERTY OWNER MADE THE FINAL PAYMENT WITH HIS WILLINGNESS AND THE FINAL APPROVALS WERE SUBMIT TO THE RESPECTIVE PROPERTY OWNERTHE WORK WAS FINISHED IN JULY SO WHY NOW AFTER ONE YEAR THE OWNER HAS A COMPLAINT ?? THE OWNER WAS VERY WELL EXPLAINED THAT SINCE THERE WAS A NEED OF THE FIRE ALARMS AS PER JERSEY CITY FIRE PREVENTION DEPARTMENT SO THAT'S WHY THE FIRE ALARMS WERE INSTALLED AND THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE OF $1600/-, DUE TO THE FIRE ALARMS WORKWE TOLD OWNER THAT IF HE DOESN'T WANT US TO DO THE JOB HE CAN GLADLY TAKE HIS JOB TO ANY OTHER CONTRACTOR AND WE WILL REFUND HIS DEPOSIT MONEY REFERENCE TO THE FIRE ALARM WORK BUT HE PAID THE MONEY AND ASK US TO FINISH THE WORK AND ALSO TO GET HIS FIRE PREVENTION VIOLATIONS TO BE GET ABATED FORM THE FIRE PREVENTION DEPARTMENT WHICH WE DIDI TOLD THE OWNER THAT IN ORDER TO HAVE THE FIRE ALARMS MONITORED HE WILL NEED MONITORING COMPANY TO MONITOR THE FIRE ALARM WHO CAN CALL HIM AND TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OFFICE IN THE CASE OF AN EMERGENCY OF FIRE, SO THAT'S WHY HE HAS THE MONITORING CHARGES, I NEVER TOLD HIM THAT I OR MY COMPANY WILL BE PAY THE MONITORING CHARGES FOR LIFETIMEI OR MY OFFICE DON'T HAVE ANY OF HIS HALLWAY DOOR KEY AND HE NEVER ASKED ME TO RETURNED ANY KEY TO HIMHE HAS AN ORDINARY DOOR LOCK ON HIS BUILDING HALLWAY AND THAT LOCK DOESN'T GET CHARGED $200/- TO BE CHANGED AND IF HE HAD ASKED ME TO CHANGE THE LOCK TO A NEW ONE I WOULD HAVE DONE GLADLYFROM THE BEGINNING OF THE CONTRACT THE OWNER WAS NOT INTERESTED TO PAY THE MONEY FOR THE DEPOSIT OF THE JOB AND HE CALLED ME TO TIME TO COME TO THE JOBSITE AND COLLECT THE CHECK FROM HIM BUT HE WILL ALWAYS LEAVE WITHOUT GIVING ME THE CHECK AND NOW SINCE THE JOB HAS BEEN FINISHED OVER A YEAR AND NOW HE IS MAKING THIS COMPLAINTI HOPE I ANSWERED YOUR CONCERNS IN REFERENCE TO THIS MATTER BUT IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTION OR IF I CAN BE FURTHER HELPFUL, PLEASE LET ME KNOWTHANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND EFFORTS IN THIS MATTER TO UNDERSTAND THE SITUATIONVERY TRULY YOURS *** ***

Review: I hired [redacted] 1 LLC construction company to abate city housing code violations . The contractors initial contract dated 4/18/2013 was for a fire alarm system installation or sprinkler system and fire escape repair. The contract for all repairs/installations required to abate city violations was a total cost of $9690.00 as per initial contract. The contractor tries to show that he is charging a lower price for the fire alarm installation job but after a few days he charged an extra $1600.00 for equipment that would be needed to complete the job. This equipment cost was already included in the initial contract that cost $9690.00. I hesitated to pay the extra $1600.00 and he discontinued the work.The option for alarm system was the fire alarm system or sprinkler system. The contractor deceived me by telling me that there will be no additional charges once the fire alarm system is installed. He also said this system would be cheaper than the sprinkler system and therefore I chose the fire alarm system. He also said I will get insurance premium rebate if I installed the fire alarm. He did not tell me that there was a monthly monitoring charge of $100.00 for the fire alarm system. Had I known this, I would have chosen the sprinkler system over the fire alarm system.He neither returned to show me the system nor did he show up to return the front door or basement door keys and he got mad if I called and he said he doesn't want to speak to me because I asked him about the charges. He refused to talk to me after. I had to change the main entrance door lock as well as the basement lock. These cost me at minimum $200.00.Desired Settlement: I want to claim for the following: 1) a refund of the $1600.00 for the extra charges from the initial contract.2)have him change the fire alarm system to the sprinkler system or have him pay the monthly $100.00 monitoring charges for the lifetime of the fire alarm system.3) have him pay the $200.00 cost to replace door locks.
