Review: I ordered some shears from [redacted], the owner of Sharp Services, April of 2014. I addition to the shears I ordered a double swivel thumb peice, which helps reduce the chances of carpeltunnel. I paid for everything up front, includeing having my shears at my salon sharpened. The new shears came in, but not the double swivel thumb peice which everything had already been paid for. I was able to get ahold of [redacted] a couple weeks later and he said his girlfriend screwed up and he'd have the peice sent to me via priority mail and that I should have them in a couple of days, 4 at the most. The peice never came in. He also promised to come to my shop in a couple of weeks to make sure I had attached it to the shears correctly and securely. He never showed. I have made numorous attempts to contact [redacted] and left multiple voice mails on his phone with no reply. I have inquired numorous times about the thumb paice, with no reply, and finally requested a refund if the peice was not going to arrive, in at least two phone messages. Still no reply. I now have a pair of shears that have never been used that I've owned since April that I paid $289.00. I would like this issue resolved.Desired Settlement: I would like either the double swivel thumb peice that I paid for to be shipped to me so I can use my shears, or I would like to return them for a full refund. Either way works for me.

[redacted] came into my salon on Tuesday, March 10th, 2015. He sharpened two of my shears, and I also ordered two shears from him. He attempted to give me the two shears out of his display case, I requested to have brand new ones sent to me. He told me that would take a while, I asked how long is a while, he said 2-3 weeks. I write him a check that day, he also deposited the check and the funds came out of my account that same day. (When showing me how to tighten a piece on the shear he tells me "Your husband will know what to do, he can use his pliers." and later when paying, "Is husband going to be mad that you're spending all this money?" I don't know how you can be in a female dominated field and speak to someone in such a manner. So condescending and ignorant.) So everything is paid for. At 3.5 weeks I sent an email to the email address listed on his business card, no response. At 4 weeks I called him, he said I should have received them, and that they must be arriving any day. He told me to call him the next week if I did not receive them. Week 5 comes, still no shears. I call [redacted] again and his story changes, "Remember I told you those shears would take a while? They're very popular and they're back ordered at the moment." I had asked him for a tracking number, an order number or an invoice number. He told me he would look that up and give me a call back. I never got a call back. Week 6, this week, still no shears. I called him on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2015, he then tells me they were shipped out the day before and that I'd be getting them soon. (In the meantime before calling him again I contacted the website listed on his card, which is apparently not even the appropriate website for the manufacturer of the shears in question.) I called again the morning of Thursday the 23rd to get a tracking number, my call gets disconnected. At this point I contact the shear manufacturer directly. After a few calls back and forth between the manufacturer and [redacted] himself (he finally called back) he has me text him my shipping address. Which in itself is confusing, my shipping address is on the receipt from the original transaction, and he had already told me the day before that they were shipped that tuesday. So why does he need my shipping address again?? All this transpired by 9:17am PST. By 4:05 pm PST I had still not received a tracking number, so I text him again, "Any word on the tracking number?" His reply "Nope they have not got back to me." followed by "I'm sure they well don't panic" I respond with "Not panicking, extremely frustrated and disappointed..." I tell him how long its taken, a play by play of the last 6 weeks, and "you told me they were shipped Tuesday. If that is the case there should be a tracking number by now. If they have in fact not been shipped I'm ready to cancel my order and just get my money back." He responds with "If they show up today or tomorrow just put them back in the box and send them back so I can refund you" So at that moment I was done dealing with him completely. He had multiple opportunities to rectify this situation and chose to be condescending, snarky, and rude. So I call the manufacturer back and they told me that they had been waiting to hear back from [redacted] (strange, didn't [redacted] just say he hadn't heard from the manufacturer?) The manufacturer apologized profusely. They explained that an order had never been placed for me. I was livid. [redacted] has given me the run around for 6 weeks, and never even placed the order. Lied through his teeth multiple times, was rude, condescending and obnoxious. Completely unprofessional, and lacks any idea of customer service. The manufacturer themselves have, in less than 24 hours, shipped out my shears and given me a tracking number.
On top of all this, he did a terrible job sharpening shears for multiple stylists in our shop. Some of the shears fold the hair now, instead of cutting hair like they should (like a hot knife through butter). Some catch the hair and pull it. The shears were better off before he got ahold of them. He is also giving the shop owner the run around with shears that she purchased from him, out of his display case. Pretty similar situation, trying to use intimidation as well.
No one in this shop will ever do business with this man again. Terrible customer service, completely unprofessional. Other words that come to mind are liar, thief and fraud. Avoid him at all costs and save yourself the trouble.
