Sharps Rifle Company Reviews (%countItem)

I recently purchased a .308 bolt carrier group from Sharps Rifle company on January 31 2020. Today (2/8/2020) I took my 308 rifle out to test fire it. During the test I had several issues with the gun:

1: The bcg (bolt carrier group) would not extract the spent casing.

2: If the shell was extracted the following bullets would not feed properly.

3: The gun would stove pipe. After shooting the first round the gun wouldn’t eject the shell causing the rifle to double feed with the following bullet.

While at the range I had 2 other bolt carriers to try out which were *** precision and a *** bolt carrier group. I used both the *** precision and the *** bcgs in my .308 without any issues. The gun ran great with those bcg’s. I tried the sharps bcg in my friends .308 rifle and the same issues happened while shooting.

I’m contacting you for a return on the BCG I have purchased from you. I know the bcg is used but it will not function properly. I have already purchased a different BCG. If you could let me know what I can do. Thanks

This is the second email I’ve sent with no response. Please contact me back

This is the first email I sent the company.

I’ve sent several email on 2/8/2020 and 2/12/2020 asking for assistance in resolving this issue. I have yet to receive a response from the company at all. I’ve also called on 2/10/202, 2/11/2020 and left a voicemail with no return call, and called 2 times today 2/14/2020. The bolt carrier group I ordered costed me $200 and it does not work properly. I have been unable to get in touch with the company via phone or email.

from: Kim G <***>to: "***" <***>date: Mar 6, 2020, 7:55 AMsubject: IDBelow are correspondences between *** and Sharps. As you can see, he says he already purchased a second bcg before contacting us. As our website states, before we will issue a refund or replacement, a tech needs to verify there is a manufacturer defect with our product. In this industry, there are so many variances, most of the time, a little fine tuning is needed for different parts from different manufacturers to work smoothly together. He refused to take my techs phone calls, and never returned a call to him. As you can see from my correspondences below, his complaint is completely unjustified. He did not follow our company policy, yet a refund was given. Usually before we issue a refund, we have one of our techs do some trouble shooting first. 95% of the time, some fine tuning is all that is required. So many variables and variations in parts, materials etc. However, if you want to send your BCG group back to me, when I receive it, I will issue a refund.
