I am rejecting this response because: I have already stated that I am not a patient with this business which is what the complaint is aboutI am being billed for services I did not receiveI am not a patient so a HIPAA form makes no sense I cant release medical records for a company I am not a patient withPlease remove this wrongful billing from collections as previously requested

I am rejecting this response because: I still have not received an answer from Shasta Orthopedics nor have I seen any action to rectify this issue. Same problem still exists. This company seems determined to ignore this problem and make no real effort and just make excuses. I am not a patient with this company and so no HIPPA violation exist for this company to respond or make good effort to address this problem. This company had no problem sending my information to collection, but can't discuss my complaint?Please remove this wrongful billing claim from collection and I will be satisfied with the result. I am rejecting this response because: that is not what happened I was sick and could not make the rescheduled appointment but Shasta orthopedics canceled the first appointment because of scheduling conflict

We are in receipt of your letter dated November 15, 2017 wherein you enclosed the Authorization for Release of Health Information To The Revdex.com signed by the patient on October 25, 2017. Shasta Orthopedics is committed to quality service for for every patient we have the honor of serving. Further , we take complaints such as this very seriously.Our cancellation policy is published on our website. It is also provided as an element of our registration package, which was acknowledged by the patient with signature on September 23, 2016.An element of our investigation of this complaint included review of call recording records, which are used for quality and training purposes. In reviewing the call recording records we found that when the appropriate referenced in the complaint (August 23, 2017) was scheduled, the procedure scheduler again provided a detailed verbal explanation our cancellation policy to the patient. The patient acknowledged and expressed understanding of the policy by stating that he would not be missing his injection appointment, because he "makes it to all" of his appointments. The patient did not arrive for the injection appointment on August 23, 2017.Our next telephone conversation with the patient was on September 5, 2017 when a representative from our office contacted the patient to reschedule his follow-up office visit from September 8, 2017 to September 13, 2017. The patient agreed to the rescheduled date and time. Then, he also missed the September 13, 2017 office visit. The patient did not comply with our appointment cancellation policy, even after acknowledgement by signing and verbally stating understanding of the policy.For the reasons detailed above we have found no basis to make a concession to the patient in regard to our missed or canceled appointment policy.Please let us know if you have any additional questions.Sincerely[redacted]Administrator

Review: I scheduled an appt with Shasta Ortho and the appt was a couple months out. Unfortunately, during the time that the appt was to happen, my home was in direct threat of several wild fires which burned in excess of over 150,000 total acres and was declared a state of emergency area at the time. I lived 100 miles from Shasta Ortho as I am very rural. At this time, we were being evacuated and we also had a business that had to be evacuated of multiple boats and trailers and an ortho appt was the last thing on my mind, hence I missed it. I never received a call from Shasta Ortho to remind me of the appt, which if I had I would've explained to them the situation. The other issue was that the only route to be able to visit them was closed and was closed for over a week due to the three fires in the area. I called Shasta Ortho a few days later when we were allowed to return home and I looked at my calendar. I called them to explain the situation and basically the situation consisted of they don't really care and they want the copayment for the missed appt. I asked to speak to a manager and they told me no. I was immediately sent to collections and I tried to talk to the collections company and they tried to dispute it w/ Shasta Orthopedics. At this time it was already on my credit though. I paid the amount to the collections company at this time. I had a stellar credit score of 818 before this happened. Shasta Ortho had zero compassion and refused to understand a state of emergency is a little more important than an ortho appt.Desired Settlement: I would like this removed from my credit and a refund of my fees I paid to the collection company.

Review: I Had initially scheduled an appointment online for an examination for my hip, the company then called to confirm an appointment. I called to cancel this appointment in advance after finding out my problem was related to my back not my hip. This company charged me 35.00 for a no show even though I canceled my appointment with them. They provided no service or product and charged me anyway. If I had been an a patient receiving services and chronically didn't show up I could see charging for a missed appointment but I wasn't and hadn't. I called this company about this bill when I received a collection notice for non payment of the 35.00 dollar no show bill. I called the billing dept for Shasta Orthopaedics and was told they would take care of this and remove the collection. I just discovered that this is still in collection! This is the worst experience I have had with any medical services provider in my life. Billing for a no show after the appointment was cancelled, then sending it to collections and then not cancelling the collection after saying they would. This is an unacceptable business practice for any company.Desired Settlement: I want this collection removed from my credit report immediately. This company needs to notify sierra receivables that this 35.00 dollar bill was sent by mistake to them and remove it from all credit reporting agencies.
