Review: We hired [redacted] to remodel 2 bathrooms and our kitchen. We agreed upon a price with us purchasing most of the materials and he would purchase the countertops for our kitchen, we paid him for the counter tops when he said he had ordered them and paid for 1/3 of work before he started, 1/3 after the first bathroom and paid the remainder the last day we saw him. He had stated to my husband that he needed the remainder of the amount due to financial obligations and we knew he had a small son. He had stated he would return the end of the following week to install last island counter, put ends on the counters and finish up loose ends such as lighting, our kitchen light on the dimmer switch was blinking and fix the bathroom light switch, along with trim. I have only had sporadic email contact with him since then. Most of this occurred after filing complaints with thumbtack customer service who's website we used to hire him. We have scheduled for him to come out on various occasions and he either does not show up or emails me excuses at the time he should be here. I have records of all emails exchanged, we cannot reach him via phone and we never get a return call. This has been going on since March. On top of all the issues with him finishing, I am not impressed with his work. He was not getting everything accomplished when he felt he would and we did not have a problem with him working extra days as long as it was right, he did a poor job removing wall paper, fixing the walls, painting, etc... and rushed through the kitchen leaving a mess behind, and everyday he came we had to point out a leak or some other issue that came up after he had left the day before.Desired Settlement: We feel we are entitled to a refund for the work he did not complete along with a refund for the materials that we paid for and we have not received. We feel he owes us the amount it would be for another contractor to come in and finish the work and for the countertops and end caps we never received. I do not feel comfortable having this contractor come back into my home and feel he would not do a quality job with the remainder of the tasks.

Review: I had this contractor epoxy my porch to waterproof the room underneath of it [redacted] told me he would guarantee it would be waterproof for two years and he would give me that in writing. Now he will not give me the guarantee. Also there is excess epoxy on my sidewalk and patio that I just had installed last July [redacted] said he tried to remove it and was unable he is unwilling to try to resolve the issue will not answer phone calls.Desired Settlement: I would like the epoxy removed from the sidewalk and patio and for it to look like before the job began. If it is unable to be removed I would like it replaced
