Shaughnessy Homes

We built a house with Shaughnessy homes with a closing date of November 8 2018. I attempted to send a deficiency list with photos to our builder but the project manager rejected them telling us he didn't want to see them before a year was up. So, as life does this sort of thing to us all, my mother became suddenly ill and I relocated to cape Breton to care for her. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her freshly diagnosed disease. I am the head of our large family of 11 siblings and their families and it took some time to get all of the will affairs in order and get back home. After being home a week, I again had to leave town as my mothers sister took the news quite hard and had several strokes. She also passed on. We were hit very hard with both deaths and found even more bad news when we returned to Halifax.
Once we were finished attending all 3 funerals and executing estates formally, I tried again to pass on our list of deficiencies but was now told that they wouldn't be accepted because they weren't presented in a timely manner. I did try to explain to the project manager but he assured me that anything I needed to have done would be from my own pocket. I am more than disgusted with this builder. I will definitely need some guidance on how to move fwd. This builder has been difficult at best with any issues regarding our home. He has been difficult and demanding and I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone.
