I had to deal with Shaw Towing on a call through Liberty Mutual after my year old son broke down on the side of the road miles away from the repair shop (yes, I measured it) In addition to an excessive charge (in my opinion$for a mile tow), I was told that they only accept cash - no credit card, no debit card, no checks - just cash When I asked for a line item of the charges, the dispatcher wouldn't help and said I needed to call the owner of the company After driving around to find an ATM to pay the fee and meeting the driver at the repair shop, I was then told that I had to have the exact amount and they didn't carry any change Really? They only take cash and don't have change? Someone needs to remind Shaw Towing that it's and anyone can take a debit card these days with their phone So after driving around for the 2nd time to try and find a convenience store that would give me change I was finally able to settle up If anyone has to use Shaw Towing, I hope they have lots of cash on hand!
I am a military veteran and use USAA for my insurance needs I have the roadside assistance program through USAA and utilized it for the first time today My wife's vehicle broke down and we needed to have the car towed to a repair facility Road side assistance contacted Shaw Towing and were given an estimated time of an hour and fifteen minutes After a hour and a half, we called to check the status of the tow truck We were told that they would be there in another twenty minutes This same process happened three more times and after three hours, Shaw's towing never showed USAA roadside assistance cancelled the order with Shaw and called [redacted] towing who were not only on time but minutes early

I received EXCELLENT service from Johnny at Shaw Towing last nightHe was friendly, knowledgeable in his field, very careful loading and unloading my car, and made sure we were warm in the cab of his truck while he workedI am grateful for his professionalism and will definitely keep the phone number of Shaw Towing in my car for the next time I need towing
Shaw was dispatched by StateFarm Ins to tow my vehicleI was given an minETA after hours I called, Statefarm for an update, Shaw told them they were on their way After another minutes, I called Shaw directly for an ETA, The guy toldm ene the driver would get there as soon as he could When I advised that he was min late and I needed an ETA, I was told that they are "just a wrecker company" and they are doing the best they can At that point the guy hung up on me! After hours of waiting, Shaw cancelled the assignment and Statefarm had to re-assign the tow! I am just glad I was not stuck on the side of the road in freezing weather! I have read on line many negative reviews from others who had assignments to Shaw from Progressive, Allstate and car dealerships, I recommend that Shaw be taken off of everyone's rotation for anyone in need of quick or courteous service!

Very unprofessional. I called and asked for an invoice to submit to my insurance company (their accounts were down that day so I was told to pay out of pocket). When I called to get the invoice to submit to insurance for a receipt the owner called me a liar and said they never charged me. I just assumed they charged me (without looking at my bank records) because why would they not charge me for a tow? It was a very unprofessional conversation and I will not allow my insurance to use them again for any of my roadside assistance problems.
