Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/05/19) */
Aaron Brosestimates and staffs moving jobs to the best of our ability based upon the information provided to us by our customers and our work experience from previous moving jobsFor this specific job, a men crew was scheduled; however, the
third employee was unexpectedly unable to work their scheduled shiftWhen unforeseen things happen beyond our control, we do the best that we can for the customer with the employees and equipment we have available and always communicate with the customer from our front officeOnce we learned that this job would be a men crew, we immediately instructed the driver to reduce this customer's rateIt appears that in the interest of getting the job done, the driver simply forgot to correct the rate on the paperwork and for this confusion, we apologizeWe would never, in good conscious, charge customers for a service they did not receive, yet we do expect to be paid for services rendered as any company doesAlso, our trucks are equipped with GPS and checked upon completion of each moving jobWe saw that for this specific job it took the driver minutes to get from the point of origin to the new locationThis is a typical travel time since our trucks are not allowed on Lake Shore Drive and are forced to navigate side streets, local traffic and possible constructionWe can, upon request, provide a printed report of this findingWe acknowledge that this job could have been performed faster if a third employee had been presentHowever, the employees working did the best that they could and we reduced the hourly rate to reflect the reduced moving crew and discounted the bill further in the name of good customer service

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The company gave me a quote for the move time for a three man crew at the start of the job even though a third man was not present and never would beThey failed to inform me that the terms had changed and a crew of two men would be doing the jobIn fact the paperwork presented to me at the start of the job had a three man rate, when the driver and mover present were fully aware there were only two movers present at the start of the jobThis was intentionally deceptiveThe owner only acknowledged there was no third man after I confronted him with this factI called multiple times during the move to inquire as to why the move was taking so long and the owner never mentioned that he had sent only two menIf a third mover were present the job would have taken less hoursI was charged an excess of two hours because the appropriate number of movers were never sent or disclosed to meI am still seeking the return of two hours payment I was unfairly charged because of Aaron Brothers failure to properly staffI have copy of contract with the three movers that was presented to me by the company

I have attached all the communication I have with Aaron Brothers. They stated they submitted the claim, and I have requested information regarding this claim, but have not heard back. This is not a reputable company and their workers are not trained properly as the damage to my belongings and damage to my former home shows. This is not an "A-" company as they attest. I am hoping you can help me resolve this by making them responsible for the damage they did as well as repairing the wall at my former home. Along with paying $845 for the move, I will have to repair my damaged furniture , fix the hole in the wall, and replace my lost items. They should be responsible for this. See attachments. THank you I have sent you 3 documents. Pls akowledge receipt.  [redacted]

[redacted] Furniture went to Mr. [redacted] home, as requested by Aaron Bros., to survey the damage of the piano leg and to provide us with a quote for repair. [redacted] Furniture determined that the same piano leg had been broken before and poorly repaired prior to Mr. [redacted] move with Aaron...

Bros. and because of this, Aaron bros. does not feel 100% responsible for this damage claim. We are willing to work with Mr. [redacted] to come up with a reasonable settlement; however, we are denying the claim that our company is fully responsible for the full $500 needed to repair the damage.

Mr. [redacted] responded to Ms. [redacted] damage claims by going on-site to inspect the damage as is our right, per Aaron. Bros. Moving System, Inc.'s Terms and Conditions. We offered to settle with Ms. [redacted] for $200 which is what the declared value of said damaged items is. This denomination...

came from the valuation insurance Ms. [redacted] agreed to at the beginning of her move, set forth by the state of Illinois which states that if damage is to occur, the shipper will receive".30 cent per pound per article." Mr. [redacted] explained this to Ms. [redacted] however, she denied this settlement.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/16) */
On 6*24*2015 as stated Aaron Bros moved Ms. [redacted]. I went out to address the damage claim and spoke with Ms. [redacted]'s mother. She stated that the movers brought the t.v in from the moving truck and placed it on the first floor of the home....

She then moved it to the basement as stated by Ms. [redacted]. We packed the tv in boxes prior to moving it and charged her for the boxes. We also did a visual inspection before moving televisions. If there are any visible damages we bring it to the customer attention before we move it. Since there were no visible damages we proceeded with the move. The damage is only detectable when the t.v is on. I do not believe my movers damaged this t.v, damage may have occurred when the t.v was moved from the first floor to the basement by Ms. [redacted]
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2015/07/21) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The boxes I purchased as I stated before were wasted robe boxes. Wardrobe boxes have a pole at the top for clothes that remain on hanger. How can those2 boxes over three uncovered tvs. One TV is 38.5 inches, the other is 70 inches, and the last TV is 22 inches.
The 38.5 inch (broken) and 22 inch TV was placed in the basement where they were to be assembled later. The 70 inch TV was placed on the first floor because it was big. My 38.5 inch uncovered television was moved less than four feet to the dresser. There is no pathway obstruction at all. You clearly stated you don't believe your movers broke my tv. Meaning you don't have the facts because you were not there. You originated the response as if you were there because if you were you would know exactly where my tvs were placed
Final Business Response /* (4000, 19, 2015/08/24) */
We maintain our position. We are willing to settle this matter based on the minimum amount required by the state of Illinois which is .30 cent per lb per article. That is all the state of Illinois require us to do
Respectfully Submitted

Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 24, 2015/09/11) */
Called Miss.[redacted] and she confirmed she received the money promised by the business 09/11/2015. Case closed resolved.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/18) */
As stated in Ms. [redacted]'s complaint there were damages to her couches and tables, I informed her that we would take steps to get her items repaired and as recently as August 17th I was in communication with her about the progress of these...

repairs. I responded to her email sent the morning of the 17th of August and informed her that I had contacted a repairman that specializes in leather repair and that he stated it would take a few days to respond due to the volume of work he currently had in front of us.
My goal is to have the damages repaired by a reputable company as soon as they are available instead of having a non vetted company perform what may be substandard repairs immediately. Hopefully Ms. [redacted] will continue to work with me so that this can occur as quickly as possible.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/08/24) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
It has been way too long and I have nothing but Mr. [redacted] word which is questionable at this point. This has been an inconvenience to me and I paid Mr. [redacted] Moving Company for the services rendered and I demand the same consideration. My patience has run out and if Mr. [redacted] cannot deliver in a timely manner he needs to pay me for my damages.
As I told Mr. [redacted] in my last email I could have someone out from a reputable company like tomorrow.
Final Business Response /* (1000, 16, 2015/10/07) */
After speaking to Ms. [redacted] we decided to have a leather repair company look at the items to be repaired. When she was informed that the furniture needed to be brought into the repair shop for the repairs to take place she declined the repairs and decided to take Aaron Bros, to small claims court
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 18, 2015/10/12) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Mr. [redacted] did not tell the complete truth. I phoned Mr. [redacted] on a Saturday and he said that he had found someone who could come to my house and repair my furniture and that I need to give him two days that I could be home for this. I emailed him the two days and got no response so I phoned him on Monday and that's when I was told that someone would be out to my house to pick up the furniture on that Wednesday. I asked him to give me the name of the company that would be doing the repair work and he hesitated so I asked again and he said that he had to search the internet for the name and he would call me back. When he did call me back he gave me a company name of Dee's Furniture Repair. I told him I did not trust him and I would not put my furniture in his hands again and that he can pay me for the repair work. He said he could pay me for the furniture if I had a bill of sale for the furniture and that he would then have to take the furniture. This man is absolutely a shyster and definitely not a business man. So thats when I said I did not want anymore contact with him and that I would be taking him to court.
