Review: We purchased a furnace/air conditioner from Shearer in 2010 that was junk from the beginning. Even though it was under warranty it ended up costing us more money every time we had service done on it. Robert, Jr. was not willing to honor the warranty in any way. Our last service call was the last straw for us, we were told the air conditioner compressor was bad and it was going to cost us over $1,000.00. This company advertises "Big on Service" , I don't think so. Would not recommend this company to anyone. Our old furnace was 27 years old before we replaced it with this unit which lasted 6.Desired Settlement: Refund for the last diagnostic service call for our air conditioner unit. If the company has any questions why we fill we should be refunded they can contact us.

The equipment install in Mr. [redacted]’s house was indeed High Efficient, we printed the Certificate of Product Rating and gave him a copy to receive a West Penn rebate and a tax credit on his income tax.He also declined (3) options: (1) High efficient filter, (2) Humidifier & (3) 10 year Labor Warranty, attached is the proposal that he declined. The equipment did have some issues after the first year warranty.The equipment had a (10) year parts warranty and we did honor that. We in good faith sent a Trained Technician to his home and did find an issue with the compressor, the compressor was under warranty but the labor and misc materials are not covered. He declined to repair and had another Company replace the system. We never had the opportunity to negotiate a settlement with a new system for Mr. [redacted]. If Mr. [redacted] had purchased the Extended Labor warranty everything would have been covered with not out of pocket expense.Sincerely, Robert C[redacted]

[redacted] having the specs & 10 year parts & labor warranty shown here below:JUNE 19-2006 DATE OF SALE - SHEARER HEATING & AC / CARRIER INFINITY [redacted],. 80,000 BTU, VARIABLE SPEED, TWO STAGE, 96% EFFICIENCY GAS FURNACE / WITH INFINITY [redacted] 16 SEER, THREE TON (3 TON) TWO SPEED "PURON" HEAT PUMP CONDENSER [redacted] - serial #[redacted] CARRIER THREE TON TXV COOLING COIL [redacted] - serial #[redacted]/ CARRIER INFINITY CONTROL THERMOSTAT SYSTXCC (no seria# required)/ LARGE BY-PASS HUMIDIFIER HUMCC - [redacted]$275) INFINITY AIR PURIFIER ($755) [redacted] serial #[redacted] TEN YEAR PARTS & LABOR WARRANTY for a total price of $10,099,00 just under two other bids for the same exact units & 10 year parts & labor warranties from both Wade Heating & Cooling for $10,136.00 and Beverly Heating & Cooling $10,368.00. Date of sale June 19, 2006. Date of delivery and installation with completion certificate June 30, 2006. The completed installation date was July 8, 2006 by [redacted]. No cooling. Unit compressor failed/replaced/re-installed July 13, 2006. 2-28-07 [redacted]. said change out thermostat for a new one(had 63 wrong events listed)Carrier recall on thermostat.5-4-07 [redacted] scheduled techn. [redacted]. Wed 9th 8am to replace infinity control, check all fluid levels, Puron and static pressure levels. On 5-9-2012 No cooling. [redacted] deducted $60 from Gold Star Maintenance of $179 to $119 summer & winter check incuded $400 Diamond? plan. Replaced compressor capacitor starter by techn. [redacted]. no cooling under warranty. On 5-19-2012 noisy broken rod compressor by techn. [redacted]. 5-20-2012 Replaced compressor [redacted].,techn. under warranty. 5-14-2014 No cooling.5-23-2014 [redacted]. need compressor. -9-2014 replaced compressorDesired Settlement: Owner [redacted], his son [redacted] Jr. said Carrier will not replace our lemon! They want us to pay them $565.00 saying our system does not qualitfy for lemon law nor do we have a 10 year parts and labor warranty. We have always had a 10/10 parts/labor warranty as shown above and we are disputing this erroneous service charge for labor requesting that Revdex.com intervene on our behalf against both Schearer Crawford HVAC and Carrier for our manufacturer defective HVAC unit especially undo hardship harrassmt
