Sheboygan Falls Insurance Company

My mother and I have had Sheboygan Falls since 2005 or it may be earlier (could only find bills from 2005 earlier ones may have been thrown out) to 2012. in that time we had never filed a claim. This company however had failed to send us premium notices, but since we would be late on payment because no notices were sent, they some how were able to get notices of cancellations to us (which we paid the premiums over the phone and had explained to them we never got the premium notices and to please send them to us)this situation had happened a couple of times in one year go to the point that our agent from River Valley Ins had to get involved. After my mother had passed away I changed the policy to my name - which they issued to me. Now since it was in my name only they had came out did an inspection on the house when NO ONE was there. They sent us pictures and told us by email what needed to be done - which we did.

They had disapproved of the work that was done. (their reasons was the windows in garage were boarded up and the chimney looked like we slapped some motar on there and called it done). Well the windows have been boarded up for 20 years to keep red squirrels out - we fixed the screens anyway and the chimneys are up to code - but instead of coming out for an inspection again they just passed judgement on pictures. Now it would have been nice if they did an inspection like this when my mother had first gotten the insurance. This insurance policy has been in my name for a year, I had paid the premium for the whole year so there would be no issues about sending me notices - instead they decided to go about a different way on cancelling us. I am so impressed that this company is making so much money that they don't need our business - this company cancelling us is a blessing in disguise. I was told by people that they did this because they were not making any money on us. I will not do business with this company again.

Review: Sheboygan Fall Insurance Company has decided to drop the coverage of my wife and myself for, in large part, reasons beyond our control. The reason given to us was an excessive number of claims. There were a total of five claims including: a deer hit, lightning strike, two tow truck bills, and a minor accident without injuries at a low speed in a parking lot.

The deer hit and lightning strike are, as I understand it according to Wisconsin Law, an act of God and therefore are not to count against you for insurance claims. One of the tow truck bills was inquired when my wife ran out of gas on the interstate as a result of a manufacture defect of the vehicle that was recalled the following week. The second tow truck bill was for a faulty starter. The accident was of no fault of my wife's, however, Wisconsin is a no fault state and therefore fault is 50/50. We made no claim for the accident. I did the repair work myself and purchased the required materials without making a claim.

Prior to these claims we had no claims whatsoever. They also listed a claim on my truck that I never made. There was a claim made, however, it was made prior to me purchasing the vehicle by an individual or business in no way related to me or my family.Desired Settlement: I am requesting further explanation as to why they are able to drop me for reasons beyond my control. I am also requesting monetary compensation for losses of $493.48 which is how much money I will be losing yearly because of them dropping my wife and I.
